The hope and optimism that washed over the country in the opening months of Barack Obama's presidency are giving way to harsh realities.

An Associated Press-GfK Poll shows that a majority of Americans are back to thinking that the country is headed in the wrong direction after a fleeting period in which more thought it was on the right track.

..”better than Bill Clinton and about even with George W. Bush six months into their presidencies.”

Translated: Bush’s was higher.

still waiting for him to pay for my rent, utilities, grocery bills, fuel, entertainment, dining out, clothing, etc.. When does that start?

Certainly by the time he starts his third term you should be well on you way to getting these needs fulfilled.

Not long after The One’s inauguration I heard a couple of ladies talking on the subway on the way home from work, one was telling the other about the TALF program and how Obama was going to bail her out of all her credit card debt. I started laughing, I’m sure they knew I was laughing at that comment but both ignored me and kept talking about “Barack this and Barack that.” It was sickening and hillariious at the same time.

Looks like the Shooting Star is on a downward trajectory. His curve is bending.

In Obama's case, the problems he's confronting domestically and internationally are legion

Lying liberal AP bullcrap. Notice how easily and painlessly they slip it to you.

There is no "Carbon/Global Warming" problem other than the confiscation of wealth using AGW as a figleaf.

There is no "health care crisis" other than the desire of goobermint schmucks to seize control over 17% of the economy, for no good reason.

Iraq is a win, if the asshole-in-chief would just accept it and move on. Gitmo is a phoney leftover crust of bread from the campaign. No one cares about these terrorist scum. Really.

Iran and the Middle East are no-brainers, fumbled away by those with--no brains.

The economy is in dire need of benign neglect, with damage control at the margins, as the credit bubble corrects itself, admittedly painfully. Everything the jerkoffs at treasury, the fed, and Czar Central have done has made it worse. In other words, Socialist douchebag Obama has created his own problems and he deserves to stew in them.

1. Obama’s approval rating is 10th out of the 12 modern presidents.
2. Only 23% of respondents to this poll regarded themselves as Republican.

"...The hope and optimism that washed over the country in the opening months of Barack Obama's presidency..."

The only thing that washed over me was an upset stomach the day that that muzzie S.O.B. and his band of acorns stole the election-still got it too!

Is there ANY way we can convince more than HALF the American electorate, that we should START with reality,

Start with seeds of doubt--"I dunno, its been six months and I haven't seen anything get better yet. That's a long time for this bailout thing to sit there dead in the water. Especially if you're one of people who are still losing jobs the last couple months."

Let reality seek its own level. Obamanoids are like cult-victims. they need to surface on their own.

Years ago, “New” Coke was launched with much fanfare and marketing savvy. Consumers were not fooled. But unfortunately all we have today are idiots texting on cell phones. It’s gonna be a long eight years.

I believe the media is so willingly reporting this because they are trying to help Obama. They want us to relax and stop fighting this issue because we think the battle is won. Do not fall for this again! There were no PUMAs.

Those who live in states with Blue Dog leadership need to pound them and keep pounding them until the defeat is so humiliating that Obama won’t dare raise it for the rest of his term.

Independents are "the ones to watch," according to Professor Robert Shapiro, a Columbia University expert on public opinion. "The Republicans were more pessimistic from the outset. The Democrats are going to be more resistant to negative information."

LOL...Insert you're own joke here.
