WASHINGTON - I’ve been covering Barack Obama for a few years, and it’s usually crystal clear what he is up to. Not last night. This is the first time I’ve asked myself: what was THAT all about?

His prime time press conference was worse than a waste of time. He spent an hour (with the aide of a soporific White House press corps) pouring sand (one grain at a time) into the already-slowing gears of the machinery of health-care reform.

He made no real news on health care, but DID make news on race relations with his discussion of the Skip Gates case – thereby obscuring the topic he supposedly wanted to feature.

My Prediction:The polls will go down in the next few days but he will still get WHAT HE WANTS and the 0bamaCare bill will be shoved in, AFTER elections with all the votes they need after the bluedogs get re-elected.

This what happens when a person who has recently risen to power by the use of simple rhetoric of the nature that captures the subliminal aspects of peoples dreams suddenly realizes that the social intellect has shifted phases like people that have heard a Carpenters song a million times, the song sounded so great back THEN but after so long a time hearing it everywhere you get really really tired of it.

Obamas song and dance act is old hat and he does not know how to adapt to realistic events happening RIGHT NOW.

Obama will increasingly publicly whine about everyone hurting him, mark my words.

I didn’t watch it live because I can barely stomach looking at the disgusting creature but there was so much said on FR about how strange he looked and acted that I watched part of a rerun later last night and there was definitely something different about him. Oddly, his speech didn’t grate on me as much as it normally does but he looked washed out and lifeless, I didn’t reach any conclusions but I wondered if he was smoking something besides Camels.

I keep searching for a word to describe what he has lost since the last time I watched him and the only thing that comes to mind is “crispness”. He seemed to have gone soggy.

The reason Onothing was so desperate to get this done before the break was spare the Dems from the pressure they would have on them from hearing from the people in their Districts when they went home. I think you need to remember the Dems are more interested in keeping THEMSELVES in office then in sacrificing themselves in order to make this president look good. If they had the votes for this the house would have already called for a vote and passed it. Frankly I hope they do call the vote and do pass it on a strictly Party line. It will only add more fuel to the growing fire of outrage that is building against the Left in this Nation.

You are behind the curve. There is video of Maddow expressing her great disappointment with the messiah over “prolonged detention”. You can probably find it on youtube under those two words. She was very critical of him, said he was doing what “even George Bush” didn’t do.

You’re welcome, I wouldn’t know her name if not for seeing her called “Madcow” on FR, I never would have seen that clip except that someone else posted the link on a FR thread. I have never watched her other than the youtube clip.
