And props to Drudge for linking it to the top of his site. He really gets about as much truth out as anyone on the planet.
I think it’s obvious who the true racist is. Mister Gates.
I think describing him as a ‘gentleman’ was being far too generous.
Well,in the NEW court, of Sotomayor, because the guy is black, he goes free, he can shout obsenities and refuse to show ID...because they, not like the rest of us are ABOVE the law..Obama was right..the officer was wrong.
White and Hispanic word against black word. Guess we know who wins this one in Obamaworld.
Language one would expect from a professor of "Afro-American Studies."
Well, I'd say a white guy in the same situation would still have to prostrate himself before the kevlar-adorned storm-troopers that are decked out to protect and to serve all of us.
Where is the other black male in all of this?
bump.
One thing that positively identifies a racist is ATTITUDE; and that’s true for anyone involved in a racial matter.
Believe me, you’ll know it when you see it happening to you.
You know, in one blow, Gates managed to make a fool of himself, expose himself as a racist, and do the same for Obama on national TV. Not a bad day at all.
Just imagine what Gates would say about a white man behaving like this towards a black police officer.
The reality here is that Gates was way, way out of line and most definitely should still be facing the disorderly conduct charge. This is not an example of racially-based discrimination against a black person, it’s an example of socio-economically based privileges being unfairly accorded to an educated professional affiliated with an Ivy League university. If he’d been a white construction worker and pulled the exact same crap, there’s no way the disorderly conduct charge would have been dropped.
So glad you posted this. Everyone should read it before spouting off about this case (i.e. Obama).
What’s so ironic to me is at the end...where Gates says he can’t close the door properly because someone had recently tried to break in!
This police officer needs all the support he can get. It’s gonna get ugly for him, I’m afraid.
Maybe it’s just me - but his ‘neighbor’ didn’t know him on sight?
Strange - and a piece of the wnole puzzle. I may not be buddies with the all folks on the street, but I at least know them by sight. HOw about you?
If this were a big apt complext with a large turnover rate, this would be understandable.
But them again, since the neighbor was mentioned briefly so we don’t know how long they had been neighbors or oif either party was ‘new’ to the neighborhood. I guess we will never know.
He’s a friend of the president and as such may do whatever he wants to whomever he chooses to do it to. AND we all know that white males, particularly any in positions of authority, are bad bad bad. /s
As with most of black America, Gates has a huge chip on their shoulder. His good friend B.Hussein Obama is no different.
I think most of us would have been thankful for the police response to a possible break in at our home. Gladly we would have proved we were the homeowner breaking in for whatever reason. But from all appearances, and for whatever his excuse, Gates was obviously posed for a confrontation.
Now, imagine if Gate’s home had actually been broken into while he was abroad. His valuables stolen by thieves who just happened to be black. But a neighbor, who witnessed the break-in, didn’t call the police because the perps were black, and the neighbor knew Gates might perceive them as being racist if they called the police since it was black men breaking into his home.
Now that would be hilarious.
