Here is video of Ann Coulter on with Geraldo Rivera last night saying that President Obama's Birth Certificate is "not an issue," and that it is just being pushed by a "few cranks" out there. Coulter blamed the Mainstream Media's lack of in-depth reporting on Obama for the rise of those who believe there has been a conspiracy to keep the truth from the American people on the issue of Obama's birth.
Geraldo criticized Lou Dobbs as being a "dope" for talking about the issue, and for his opposition to illegal immigration. Coulter disagreed with Geraldo about Lou Dobbs, but said he is wrong on the birth certificate issue. Mike Huckabee chimed in that Hillary Clinton would have used the issue against Obama in the primaries if there had been anything to the story. . . . . . (Watch Video)

I love Ann. I’d still like to see his birth certificate, and I’d still like to know what citizenship he claimed when he was in college.
The fact that the Clintons didn’t use it is persuasive, but not definitive. It could just mean its too closely held even for them, or it could mean they’ve made a deeper bargain.
In any case, produce the document, and if I’m a crank, I’m a crank.
I guess America at this point does not care about this issue, and Coulter might sense that we need to hammer him on more salient language issues. That being said, we shall see, because these things wind either way.
The problem is the media hypocrisy for going after Bush or Palin on every non-issue, and that the media would have made it a huge issue if it had been their problem.
I think Coulter is a bit off the mark while on the mark on the media there.
Let’s not forget to trash Mike Huckabee for agreeing with Ann Coulter in that same segment.

If this is the case, then four questions:
(1) Why did Obama, and his ilk, provide a COUNTERFEIT certificate of live birth which was proven to be a fake?
(2) Why has Obama paid out SO MUCH MONEY to attorneys to SUPPRESS all actions against him to provide certification of his eligibility?
(3) Why did Obama, immediately upon entering office, sign an EXECUTIVE ORDER locking up and restricting ALL ACCESS, with a couple of exceptions to staff members, to his private birth and youth-related documents??
(4) If Obama is truly eligible, by virtue of being a naturalized citizen, to hold the office of President, simply provided the MEDIA AND THE PUBLIC with legitimate documents that put the issue to rest??
Do these sound like the actions and position of a person that does NOT have anything to hide???
It doesn’t really matter if it’s true or not, no one will be able to remove him from office. The point is to keep pressure on the press, keep them wasting resources refuting and defending it.

While I would like to see all Presidents prove natural born citizenship, I’ve seen enough to convince me he was, and that would be the Hawaii newspaper announcement.

I’ve thought about the Clinton angle too, but maybe Obama had something on her (likely). Or Clinton knew she couldn’t win the general election if she submarined Obama.

When asked, Hillary did say Obama was a citizen “as far as she knew”. That was telling enough, as if she was pushing reporters to find out the truth. Truth is, it was probably too risky for her to pursue this track especially if he whips out a birth certificate and she loses all the black vote. In hindsight, knowing the outcome as it turned out, I think the Clintons probably would’ve pursued it harder and had their minions in the press start asking the question. I think they thought all along that Hillary would prevail in the end, so they didn’t want to risk the backlash.

I had thought that the fact that his mother was American (’subject to US jurisdiction’ per the 14th) would cover him.

There are two words I didn’t hear a single one of them say(which I notice in most discussions of this subject in the media). NATURAL BORN. It seems the republicans have let the left, once again, define the subject matter as something different than what it is. It’s not about “is he a citizen” but is he a “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”! Words have meanings. If we can’t keep this issue on topic, we lose. Stupid ass republicans are getting us killed here.

Ann is a strategist. You don’t play your Spades first in a game of Spades. This birth certificate isssue is our Ace of Spades card. Sooner or later, the truth is going to come out. But it makes no sense to play it now, and I say this as someone who truly believes that Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Ann is certainly smart enough to understand the details of the issue.
I think Ann must have concluded that the issue hurts conservatives more than helps us. Perhaps she is in the camp that thinks Obama is playing rope-a-dope, trying to sucker his political opponents into the issue in order to discredit them later by releasing the long form BC.
To me, the evidence suggests he was likely born in Hawaii, but we can’t say for certain because Obama is concealing relevant evidence (long form BC, college applications, financial aid applications, etc.).
Any time someone makes an effort such as his to conceal such matters, in cases where other presidents have made similar information available, chances are high he is trying to hide something very damaging, whatever that is.

Despite the seriousness of this issue, it is NOT important right now. This issue will take care of itself, trust me, people know what's going on and definitely have Obama on the defensive. We need to stop his Marxist agenda first and elect a Congress that will stop him.
It doesn't matter if he was born in the White House on top of an original copy of the Constitution. His father was Kenyan and a British citizen which automatically transferred to him per the 1948 British National Act.

I am with you. Until the questions are resolved then all else is moot.
I cannot believe that Ann Colter is bowing at the alter of the looney left. Because Ann dear, that is what you are doing if you carry even one drop of water for this evil muslim fool.
I can only think of two reasons Zero would be dumping all this cash into hiding his birth certificate.
1) There is, in fact, something incriminating or embarrassing to hide.
2) There is nothing to hide; Obama is just gaming the legal system to keep the BC hidden just to make his opponents angry, distract us from real issues, and make us look like raging kooks to ensure nobody takes us seriously.
So Obama is either a criminal or an uber-narcissistic, corrupt slimeball who would rather anger the people for his own political gain than serve them.
If the latter is the case, Ann Coulter is very smart to brush off the BC issue. At any rate, I think it’s best that we handle this quietly, calmly, and intelligently, if not under cover.
That's the real bottom line. Even if the bc has a problem (the fact that Hillary didn't use it convinces me it probably isn't), it's simply too late to deal with it and we need to move on to the more central issue, meaning how awful a president this man is and how much he misrepresented who he is. Next: How to replace congress, then we can rid ourselves of him.
