Media Mischief, the Obama Eligibility Issue and the “Dispositive Fact”

Last week, the media was forced into reporting on the Obama birth-certificate/eligibility issue. It had little choice because respected CNN Journalist Lou Dobbs had the audacity to suggest that Obama should produce his long-form birth certificate to put to rest the doubts of millions of Americans who believe Obama is not constitutionally eligible to serve as President. Immediately and predictably, much of the reporting from the main stream media was in the form of vicious attacks, seeking to discredit Mr. Dobbs and others looking for clear and convincing evidence that Mr. Obama is or is not a “Natural Born Citizen” entitling him to serve as President of the United States. Left-wing bloggers and those in the media who have been carry Obama’s water this past year circled the wagons, and calls that Lou Dobbs be fired rang out. I have to salute Lou Dobbs for his courage and sense of ethical responsibility in addressing this issue at all. Of all the CNN commentators, Lou Dobbs is the one who consistently tries to be fair to all sides.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reported that “CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told staffers at the cable news network Thursday night that the supposed controversy regarding the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate is a “dead” story.” The article went on to report:

…The website TVNewser reported today that Klein sent an e-mail to staffers of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” just as the program went to air, informing them that CNN researchers had determined that Hawaiian officials discarded all paper documents in 2001. A long-form birth certificate with details about the doctor who delivered Obama no longer exists, they reported. The shorter Certificate of Live Birth noting Obama’s birth on Aug. 4, 1961, that has been made public is the official record.

Interesting choice of words. Wonder if any US Government official requested that anything unusual be done with this.

Sure would like to see an interview of this doctor sometime.

An official from the state personally reviweed the ORIGINAL certificate, yet the ORIGINAL was supposedly discarded in 2001. This hubbub has been going on for a year and a half, and yet the state of Hawaii never thought to divulge this information before? What a bumch of liars. What are they dodging?

His long form would also be at the hospital where he was born (he claims two different ones in Hawaii), the Honolulu County Clerk's Office, by his own admission white granny had it in her closet, and his kindergarten records which would follow him through 12th grade as it does in every kid's dreaded “permanent record.” Reports are that his kindergarten records have been lost.

There should also be some record of him in the Soetoro divorce other than a glancing over as an un-named college student seeking child support.

Not access to Obama but to the media in general. Pure speculation. Early on the Obama question about him not being a natural born citizen was such off limits to the main stream media she was intimidated not to do otherwise. After all, she uses them to hawk her latest books.

how about school records (which would have a copy of his bc), or passport (which would have to have a bc) or his drivers license records when he first began to drive...., or social security records (if he, in fact has a ss card) there are a LOT of places to look.... and obamanation’s regime has tried to head this off and “cauterize” them all (Brennan's word for the breaking and theft of the passports last year).

How dumb do they think we are? They must only be listening and talking to those misguided souls who voted the obamanation into office.

I see nowhere that she states he is a citizen or that he was born in Hawaii, who his parents are, the date he was born, the hospital where he was born, or the doctor's signature. Anyone and their dog can get an Hawaii COLB and it would be "in accordance with state policies and procedures." For legal reasons, we specifically have chosen to state that the offer of a reward for a copy of Bozo's real long form birth certificate is made to Barack Hussein Obama himself and not to anyone else. The reason is that if we made an offer to pay a reward to anyone producing a real long form birth certificate and it was proved that it came from any source other than Obama, then we could be accused of various crimes related to stolen property. No thanks, given the seriousness of removing this charlatan from office!

We think that his actions should cause every American to want to see his real long form birth certificate because he, or someone associated with him, is paying huge legal fees to keep his records secret and he certainly hasn't responded to our offer to him of a sizeable reward to see it. The whole "foreign place of birth" theory rests on an assumption that no human has access to the records, that Dept. of Vital Statistics employees are of the highest moral and ethical caliber and are politically non-partisan.

One has to believe that while retreiving a 1961 birth certificate for Haku Ōpūnui or Barry O'Brien, no employee would take a peek inside Obama's file either out of their own curiosity or because they were doing so at the behest of a political campaign.

Your refutation of the theory goes both ways: if such an employee had peeked into the records and Obama were legit, that would have been leaked out already. I've heard nothing about anybody having seen it at all. Therefore, it is safe to assume that if anyone has seen the original, they're not talking either way. Given the high nature of the controversy, one would expect any employee who had peeked to leak the info by now.

In short, there is still no good reason to believe the birth is legit.

Maybe there is a copy of his birth certificate in Indonesia, from when he was living there. Did he have an Indonesian passport?

I was born in Hawaii three years before becoming a state. My long form birth certificate is a negative photocopy. I went to this website

and just ordered a copy online. I should receive it in four to six weeks. It cost me $11.50.

I was on a thread several days ago, where I was explaining that very thing. I was explaining that when they switched over to their digital system, and discarded the paper, that they still had the original birth certificate as an image file. And also, they had the information on the birth certificate as “data entry”...
