As President Barack Obama attempts to cool a heated racial row in the US linked to the arrest of a black Harvard professor, a growing conspiracy claims that he is hiding a Kenyan birth certificate, making him ineligible to serve as president.
Conspiracy theorists in the United States and far right wingers, who have begun to call themselves “birthers”, claim that Obama is not entitled to be in the White House simply because he is “foreign born”, the Daily Telegraph said.
According to the conspiracists, there is something suspicious in the absence of a photocopy of Obama’s original birth record, known as the “long form”, even as the White House has published copies of his official birth certificate -—a printed summary of his birth details, including the name of the medical centre in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was born.
The “birthers” claim that the photocopy of Obama's original birth record would have been prepared by doctors or hospital officials involved in his birth and would contain fuller details, including the address of his parents.
According to Conservative radio host George Gordon Liddy, who was linked to the Watergate burglary, Obama was in fact born in Kenya, his father's home country. He claims to have seen a deposition by the President's Kenyan step-grandmother, 86-year-old Sarah Obama, stating that the city of his birth was Mombasa, the report said. The President is therefore "an illegal alien", Liddy said.
Mine goes a ways back as in beyond Obama, and it’s microfiche. I don’t know how long ago it was copied. I always remember it as white lettering on black as far back as I can go. I’ll have to check and see if there’s a raised seal, as I seem to remember.
Even still, I doubt the CNN story. Even if originals had been save as microfice or digitalized, the originals would still seem to be invaluable data.
What could be so embarassing that he wouldn't want to release the certificate? It couldn't be illegitimacy, since in this day and age that doesn't carry a stigma on the child, and in fact both he and Michelle have, from time to time, referred to his mother as a single mom.
What if on the birth certificate someone else (another black man) was listed as the father? It could have been that communist Frank guy, or someone else his mother met at school. His mother may have married Obama just to confer legitimacy on her child. Or, she may have married him later and simply started calling the child was Obama's last name.
In that case, if the real father is on the birth certificate, Obama has made up a life story and two books out of whole cloth. He is a fraud and very public liar. In addition, the African American community wouldn't be pleased with someone who denied his heritage and glammed up his heritage with an African, denying his slave roots.
If you ask me, that's why he has little contact with the relatives in Kenya. He really has no connection with them...they are just part of an imaginary family tree that he used in a book. It's quite possible he also didn't want his real father knowing who he was, because it would have meant relatives here coming out of the woodwork, but I think the primary reason he did this was to make up a good story for that book. It is quite possible that others know about this.
NO. What was posted on FTS was a forged image of s CERTIFICATION (not "Certificate") OF LIVE BIRTH, an abbreviated transcript generated by computer. It only has very limited birth information.
AND< Hawaii NEVER issued a COLb to OBama. There are only fabricated forgeries of Obama's nonexistent COLB posted online.
It is still "on file" then, digitally and can be printed out exactly as it was entered before the office went paperless.

Farah doesn't mention the possibility that the paper records being destroyed doesn't necessarily mean there still isn't an electronic copy.
There is simply no long-form birth certificates available for people born in Hawaii before 2001, electronic or otherwise? That would be very newsworthy, and I haven't seen any news stories to that effect. This wouldn't affect Obama, apparently, but the rest of us are required to come up with a copy of our long-form birth certificate occasionally. You must be right. They must still have the electronic copy of everyone's long-form birth certificate, including Obama's.
So what was the point of CNN's announcement that the story is dead because the records have been destroyed? (Other than deliberate deception?)

State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record,” DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said.
Fukino said she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures,” Fukino said.
Fukino said that no state official, including Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama’s certificate be handled differently from any other.”
but he never says where he was born.
