Obama's to Blame for the Birther Movement
Fox ^ | 7/29/09 | Tommy De Seno

Trust but verify.

-- Ronald Reagan

It's good practice to take a person at his word until someone shows you proof he is lying.

Barack Obama says he was born in Hawaii, and since no one has shown any proof he was born in Kenya or elsewhere, it's OK to conclude he was born in Hawaii.

Sure his grammar school records show that he was enrolled as an Indonesian Muslim, but some people will say anything to get their kid in the right school. It doesn't really answer the question.

It's OK though for others not to use my deferential standard and continue to question whether Obama was born in Hawaii. We aren't talking about a 12-year-old qualifying to play Little League here. There is a Constitutional mandate that the President be a natural-born citizen, and if Obama is not one, he certainly will have committed the biggest fraud since the White Sox threw the World Series.

The reason why people still question Obama's citizen status is one-fold: "President Transparency" has refused to release any original documents on the matter. He can end the controversy in a day by releasing original documents, but for some inexplicable reason he refuses, and his love-struck media never asks him why he won't. The media instead spends hell-bent hours on making the Birther movement look like fringy, conspiracy-hungry kooks.

You have to admit though, even if you are a devout Obama-bot, Obama's refusal to release any original documents makes for a newsworthy story by itself.

Really? You don't have the evidence?

I'm not surprised. Haven't seen it anywhere on FR either.

He could end it all right now but showing the document and stopping this sillyness.

In all honesty, I'm at the point now where just the BC isn't going to be enough for me. He's going to have to release it ALL - BC, missing kindergarten record, Occidental College Records, Columbia University Records, Harvard records and thesis, a real selective service registration, his missing Senate records, et. al. He's hiding too d*** much for there not to be something seriously wrong.

If it is true that he is indeed foreign born, not a natural born citizen of the United States, he at the very least has committed perjury by taking the oath of office because he knew from the onset that he was not qualified.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Obama has already committed perjury. He has defrauded millions of people out of millions of dollars in campaign donation money.

Obama**himself** claims that his father was a British and Kenyan citizen. Obama **himself** claims that he was adopted by an Indonesian. Right there! All by itself, by his **own**admission, Obama has dual allegiance.

As Orly Taitz states, even if he were born in the Lincoln bedroom there is no way he can be a natural born citizen. Yes he can be a citizen but NOT natural born.

Yet...Our legislators and judges claim that the commoners have no standing to pursue this.

And...Our talk show hosts have been AWOL. Shame on them! ( At the moment, I am especially PO’d with Ann Coulter and Medved;s voice all by itself makes me want to retch.)

You really can’t say that Obama tells nothing but lies because he made many statements about how he was going to transform this country and, by golly, he is doing just that with and without a cooperative congress. I’m just sayin’ ...

That list is inaccurate.

“Harvard Law Review articles — None (maybe 1, unsigned?) “

During the campaign Obama acknowledged one article he wrote (1990, page 823 of Volume 103 of the Harvard Law Review), and Harvard confirmed it in writing.

Of course, the letterhead could be a forgery.

It is about time everyone stopped expecting anything different from these people.

Actually, if Marshall was his dad it would clear up his citizenship question as Marshall was a U.S. citizen.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

No, it doesn't clear it up.

Obama, **himself**, claims that he was adopted by an Indonesian. ( Dual allegiance there!). Then there is the question of passports. If he traveled on a foreign passport that proves dual allegiance. And, if he applied as a foreign student that is very questionable as well regarding dual allegiance.

"You are not a NBC just by virtue of being born here. One parent must be a citizen."

BOTH parents must be U.S. citizens and you must be born under U.S. jurisdiction to meet eligibility standards for President and Vice President.

This has been well debated on this forum and there is ample documentation to prove this point.

Interesting that this comes from FoxNews.com Here's an excerpt from farther down.

This one reminds me of John Kerry not releasing his Yale records until after the election. During the campaign Kerry soaked in the warm media bath that swore he was the intellectual and George Bush the dolt. When the records came out later it was quietly reported that George Bush had a higher grade point average at Yale.

OBama's Ben Hidin something that he doesn't want to get out. The question is what is he hiding?

It’s not being “dragged around,” it’s gaining more life each day.

Just now, Campbell Brown asked Guiliani about the birth certificate about the same time O’Reilly was discussing it with Bernie Goldberg.

And Goldberg was making sense, calling for Obama to release the bc along with other hidden records.

I would say this certainly proves they know it’s a real isssue and that they have no argument against it.

Thanks for the info.

In the same case, the Supreme Court also said that, if you were born in the United States and one of your parents was not a U.S. citizen when you were born, your natural born citizenship is in doubt. So far, the Supreme Court has not resolved this doubt because, until now, there has never been any need to do so.

Looks like the strongest "precedent" comes from an 1874 ruling. There the second part of the court's ruling was that citizenship was "in doubt"...a non-definitive statement to say the least. To be basing much of this largely on such a nebulous ruling will likely result in nothing. It could very easily go the opposite way, especially since we've already had a President whose father was not a US citizen (Arthur).

IMO this is barking up the wrong tree. I want that birth cert to be released as well as other documents that Oshama has kept hidden because I believe there is damning stuff there, but I don't think the natural born thing is a good strategy, though I know some are convinced it has merit.

You've got to be kidding. They're loving it. Just go look at the segments Chris Matthews has done on it. Tell me it isn't obvious the guy's having a blast.

There are few things Bambi's supporters in the MSM enjoy more than making pubbies look stupid, and this birther nonsense is providing them with opportunities in spades.

What the hell is O’Reilly’s problem? He claims to have “investigated” the issue but seems totally out of touch with what is being discussed!

Only those that think Matthews and Co. are winning the argument will see it that way. What I see is a bunch of hyperbolic screeds in the media (don’t watch much TV).

The MSM went into Axelrodian hyper drive last week on the subject with the intent to kill the birther argument and haven’t relented. This, after a year long near blackout of the subject. It is all over the media now. And all because Rush Limbaugh and Lou Dobbs have joined us in demanding to see the REAL birth certificate.

They were FORCED into this position, and the genie cannot be stuffed back into the bottle. And they hate it. That’s why terms like “birther”, “nutty”, “conspiracy”, “far right” are being used. The same kind of crap they use in an attempt to marginalize the global warming “deniers”. It didn’t work against the deniers, and it won’t work against the birthers. They are flailing away though, gaskets popping, and it is hilarious to watch.
