Traditional Marriage Group Assaulted by Pro-Homosexual Activists: Police Report Filed (Warwick, RI)

Volunteers from the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) were assaulted by pro-homosexual activists yesterday [July 28] in Warwick, Rhode Island, as they peacefully held signs in support of traditional marriage.

Volunteer Rex Teodosio described the scene: "We were at a busy intersection, getting strong support for traditional marriage. Three women approached us -- one threw mayonnaise, while the other two grappled with our photographer."

"Then we were sprayed with mace. Finally, a burly woman got out of a car and punched our photographer in the face. They shouted obscenities the whole time."

"It happened suddenly. But we got the license plate number of the second car; someone in the first car had covered its license plate with a shirt. We filed a report with the police."

Pro-homosexual individuals have thrown water bottles, pesticide, rotten eggs and soda at TFP volunteers. But this is the first time the Catholic group was pepper sprayed, punched and sustained head injuries.

Police at Warwick station responded promptly and have opened a case. Pictures and video footage of the assault are helping the investigation.

"So much for tolerance," said Joseph Ferrara who was hit by the attackers. "Homosexual activists talk about tolerance, but everyone who saw the attack, saw their 'tolerance' in action. For me, these attacks reinforced my resolve to defend traditional family values. It's so important," he added....

When they catch the dykes that did this, I am sure they will be prosecuted for a "hate crime".

good for them demonstrating but it shows as well how intolerant the homosexuals are.

Maybe the party of hate and intolerance will wake up and realise that the majority of Americans are more traditional and do not go with their agenda.

They will be charged with disorderly conduct.

If found guilty, they will be sentenced to 10 hours community service in a women’s bath house.

One would think that the north east would be mostly red because of all the Catholics but it is not.

Why????????????????

No one can be catholic on a Sunday and then a Dem the other 6 days.

The more the homos demonstrate the more folks are going against them.
I know many now who are fed up of homosexuals acting like this and pushing their agenda.
Many blacks think it is disrespectful how the homos say they are fighting for civil rights like blacks did years ago as neither are the same.

They should but probably won’t be... Funny you mention that though, our AG made a HUGE deal about prosecuting a hate crime awhile back. I’ll post the link if I can find it.

I would appreciate that.

These homosexuals are cowards, not once do they go after those who will beat them back.

The women get in your face and shout, spreading their diseased spit all over you but if you do it to them they go crying and ask for a hate crime to be against you.

Tolerance? from homos? never happen... they are haters of normal acting people. they know they are basically going against God in their lust for one another, and they hate anyone who reminds them of this.

People on the right who go out and protest are increasingly coming under attack from leftist goons who believe protesting something is only for their side.
When we go out to demonstrate against some leftist idea, we need to be prepared with our own "protection force" (big, tough, burly, intimidating-looking dudes who can get in a disrupter's face and scare them off without touching them), and a remote video crew to record any "instances" that come up (those would be posted to YouTube and forwarded to FOX - the only network who would show them).

Be prepared!

It just re-enforces the perception that liberals in general tend to be much more violent than Conservatives. Kudos to these Conservatives for not responding in kind to this thuggery that is so typical of the left.

Maybe the party of hate and intolerance will wake up and realise that the majority of Americans are more traditional and do not go with their agenda.

Doubtful.

Here are the numbers from California in November according to Wikipedia (California state elections, November 2008):

Valid votes in the Presidential Election: 13,561,900
Votes for Obama: 8,274,473 (61.01%)

Valid votes on Proposition 8: 13,402,566
Votes in opposition (i.e. votes in favor of homosexual marriage): 6,401,482 (47.76%)

This means that well over ONE MILLION CALIFORNIA VOTERS voted for Obama and against homosexual marriage, no message can be clearer than that.

in our state FL

only one county voted to have homosexual marriage and that passed in that county by about 4000 if memory serves me right.

Every other county in the state voted to keep normal marriage plus any kind of union is between a man and a woman,

full stop.

Even the counties which went overwhelmingly for bozo did not go for the homos.
over 62% voted for normal marriage and that is against the false ad’S saying it would affect us normal folk in our relationship.
They spent millions and way overspent us here and we easily won.

That is a message for them so if they want their perverted sham then why are they not flocking to MA or those other states

My question is for you.
Are IO or any other state who was not allowed to vote on the issue trying now to get it on the ballot so it can be overturned?
I remember a group in MA saying they was not giving up and a recent poll there said that more people would vote against it than before it was forced on them.
Forget the poll maybe massmike can help me out on that

Massmike and DirtyHarryY2K generally have more of the details on these things than I do.
