DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Two DeKalb County police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave after an investigation revealed they ran a background check on President Barack Obama.
A representative for the DeKalb County CEO’s office identified the officers as Ryan White and C.M. Route.
Officials said Obama’s name was typed into a computer inside a DeKalb County police car on July 20 and ran through the National Crime Information Center.
The secret service was immediately notified and contacted the DeKalb County Police Department.
A representative said both officers have been with the department less than five years.
A representative said one of the officers denied involvement.
An official investigation is being conducted by the DeKalb County Police Department’s Internal Affairs division.

Background check on “Barak Obama” turns up nothing. No surprise here. “Barak Obama” is probably a pseudonym.

They should have probably checked under “Barry Soetoro”.
The officers are morons. Certain names are flagged, so if they’re run, it sets off all sorts of alerts.

Glad to see they’re on PAID leave for this. I usually don’t approve of wasting taxpayer dollars, but I’ll make an exception in this case.

These things wouldn’t happen and citizens wouldn’t be upset if the ‘Usurper in Chief’ would just provide his d@mn long-form birth certificate!
Duuh!?! The next logical question everyone wants to know is, What did the check reveal? Inquiring minds want to know... And, what law is there that says you can't run a criminal background check on the prez??? Another, Inquiring minds question...
Obama will be covering his tracks through out the country but sooner or later something will surface.

I wonder if these two officers will get the same sympathy as the kid who hacked Palin’s email account or the couple who recorded Jim McDermott’s phone conversation with Newt Gingrich?
Interesting that the Secret Service were called. Why? Is that a formal procedure written into the use of running background checks?
Maybe after a bit more free fall of O's approval numbers, one of his loyal gatekeepers (thugs) will get curious and take a peek at some of the hidden records.
