Something bad is taking place at the border.
"We're seeing a lot of MS-13,” says Agent Mike Scioli of the U.S. Border Patrol. "They're typically known to be guns for hire, they're known to smuggle narcotics and human traffic across the border illegally."
MS-13 stands for Mara Salvatrucha, the most violent street gang in the western hemisphere.
Last week Border Patrol agents arrested two MS-13 members: one in Tucson and one in Nogales.
The Nogales arrestee was identified by his tattoos - - the letter M on his right bicep; the letter S on his left; the number 1 on his right triceps; the number 3 on his left.
"He was already deported from Los Angeles back to Mexico and he was attempting to re-enter to join back up with his gang," Scioli says.
Tucson's Border Patrol Sector is the busiest in the U.S. Last year its agents arrested about 317,000 illegal immigrants. Scioli says 16 percent, or almost 50,000, had some type of criminal record.
But the presence of MS-13 merits special concern.
They specialize in transporting arms and drugs across the border. Most of the weapons come from El Salvador - - the homeland of most of the gang members - - where a hand grenade sells for $10; an M-16 rifle for $200; and an AK-47 for $1,500. The Maras have made a fortune by purchasing such weapons and selling them to members of other street gangs throughout the U.S.

Somehow I don’t think the US Marines would be overly impressed. Naturally Hussein would risk losing the Mexican vote, and that’s certainly not worth a little thing like the security of the US or the public!

Stop this “we have to judge a candidate on more than one issue”. This is the nonsense that got John McCain (a pro-illegal and, yes, anti-American) the GOP presidential nomination...taking illegal alienism off the table, as an issue.
Illegal alien amnesty, open borders, are main issues. If we let criminal thugs like MS-13 (who would have been given amnesty under McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill) enter the country at will...we will no longer have a nation. Time to seal the border and deport illegals...

Ironic how U.S. politicians (and other Americans) behave as if building a wall or controlling the influx across the border is such a mean and terrible thing to do to the people seeking a better life here.
As a result, criminals have taken control of the border and are killing those people.

This is precisely why anyone pointing fingers at exports of semi-automatic M-16s and mod’d AK’s from the US is all wet.

He committed billions of dollars of military resources to Iraq and Afghanistan and nothing to protect America’s own backyard.

I've been saying that any flow of US arms into mexico is almost entirely for the use of otherwise honest citizens who are under threat from drug lords (inc. MS13) as well as their own government.
We're not so far from that here either...and getting closer by the day.

The United States of America spent over forty years defending itself against a terrible foe. That foe was the Soviet Union.
The United States built 70,000 nuclear weapons of 65 different types to protect ourselves from a Soviet army of two million men. That two million man army was composed of Christians (the govenment leaders were definately not Christian) who were responsible for fine art, fine music, the first man in space and rockets to the moon.
What makes up an army? An army is made of men between the age of 15 and 35.
What comes across our border by the millions each year? Men between the ages of 15 and 35.
Afghan drug lords are now teamed with Mexican drug cartels to flood our cities with heroin. In Mexico, this Muslim Connnection to the drug cartels has brought beheadings to the streets of border towns. Many Mexican cities are now surrounded by Mexican Army troops and tanks — all to quel the violence. The city of Tijuana had its entire 3,000 man police force disarmed and replaced with Mexican Federal Troops.
What we have below are two images. One is of an enemy we fought tooth and claw for seventy years nearly bankrupting our country. The other we today invite across our border with welfare, free medical care, and more. The centers of many American cities are now controlled by MS-13 and others of the most violent gangs in America’s entire history. These gangs want to kill police and federal agents to rise in reputation among their own kind. Our prisons are now filled with a violent criminal class never seen before anywhere on earth.
In all of the 70 years of the Soviet Union — including the years of the proxy war of Vietnam.— they killed fewer Americans in total than Mexican Illegal Aliens do inside this country in a single year.
What is our Border Patrol to do when these people invade our country? Run and hide.[snip]

This is about the fourth one they have received.
They failed to take notice, of the endless violent stories, and many that did notice, thought is was somehow cute or humorous.
They failed to notice that their "red" states like Texas were crawling with illegal aliens....They failed to notice that under Bush the illegals were so emboldened they marched through our towns and cities by the millions, making demands and threats while waving foreign flags...Spit.
America failed to notice that while all this was happening....their president celebrated Cinco De Mayo in the White House.
