Healthcare opposition shut down at Town hall meeting in Worcester MA

This is a letter written by a lady from the Massachusetts 912 project; she attended the meeting and was told no cameras or questions.

To all concerned patriots. Michelle and I went to the so called "town hall" meeting today in Worcester. Congressman McGovern was joined by Richard Neal. It was standing room only. It was such an orchestrated dog and pony show it was ridiculous. We were outraged, as were many other people. As soon as they began, they announced that questions that had been submitted on index cards would be addressed at some point during the "discussion" That brought an outcry from those of us who wanted to ask some real questions. There were a few, particulary one very outspoken woman, who sat down front, who came right out and stated that she was all for the healthcare plan. Every time one of the many who are opposed tried to speak, she basically led the chant of "shut up" and sit down. At one point people were told that they would be removed from the proceedings if they continued to shout out questions. Then they agreed to take questions if we wrote them on index cards and handed them to people who were posted there to collect them. There was no opportunity to get up and speak. It was the most blatant example of the Obama lovers deliberately trying to silence any who dared to disagree. We were also told that we could not bring our cameras into the "meeting" One man had to take his all the way back to his car. This was not a meeting, it was an informercial and propaganda tour. People better wake up and start doing something to stop this, or we are all doomed. Neither McGovern or Neal truly answered questions from us, other than the usual evasive liberal rhetoric.

These people are afraid to even let us speak.

See, here’s the problem. Should have raised such a ruckus over that kind of nazism they should have had to bring out the batons and escort away the congressrat.

Don’t be meek and intimidated. Intimidate them first.

McGovern is a far-left political hack.

Not to mention a conventional bully.

My sympathies to the lady who wrote about his fascist town hall for having this creep as her Rep.

Geez. I am surprised they even went through the motions of the Dog and Pony show.

Massachusetts liberal politicians have a special circle in hell reserved for them for the unique and concentrated form of elitist contempt they have for their constituency.

I know, I am one of them. Niki Tsongas is my rep, and she doesn’t even have the courage to face her constituents in a real meeting. She is having a “telephone” meeting, whatever the hell that is.

Flood congressional offices with emails, phone calls, and letters of outrage and complaint. Call TV and radio stations and complain loudly and often. Complain to AARP in large numbers. (AARP is in bed with Obama.) This townhall incident should have been headline news in Metro West Boston, but nary a peep out of MSM.

I caught a bit of MSNBC yesterday (with Whatshisname, the one with Obama tingle up his leg...Chris Matthews), anyway, he addressed growing and vast public opposition to Obamacare, claiming it was orchestrated by the far right wing (usual suspects, Rush, Levin, Savage, Ingram, Coulter, etc.).

The Obama spokesman addressed the question of whether old folks were about to be led to the slaughterhouse with ‘counseling’ sessions. Why no! We’re simply helping people with those end of life matters we all have to deal with. Life support, wills, etc.. Nothing about it being compulsory, shoved down their wattled throats. Matthews couldn’t have been more weasley. Disgusting.

I am so surprised by this.

Not.

These were two older women, they can not be expected to allow themselves to be treated poorly. We are attending another this week and our first move is going to be to shout and second a motion to allow questions from the floor. We will have cameras (cell phones) and we will be dragged out if they persist on acting this way.

Why, the plebeians should be honored that their "representative" even descended from the marble halls of DeeCee to speak down to them in person.

Re: your tagline, I've got that in my reading stack, as soon as I finish The 5000 Year Leap.

Vote these bums out of office. In fact, impeach them if vote for this boondoggle of a healthcare bill. Don't wait for the next elections. The voters are fired up!

Print out forms, hand them before the meetings to the police officers.

Tell they you are are legal resident, that the room is property of your town, and you have a right to be and speak.

That if the Police Officers interfere, you will vote/pressure their budgets to as near zero as you can, because obviously there isn’t enough real crime in town. That they are not political police, that they do not work for Congress. That if Congressmen/women feel afraid, let them bring and pay for their own armed, threatening security service(SS).

I’d call up the police chief and ask about his budget, and his reduction in crime, if any.

Ditto the police union.

Thank you for your courage. When and where is the next meeting? I'd like to try to go or send this information to my email address list.

Thank you for the update and posting this important thread.

Who will run against McGovern to get him out of office? I pray someone will step up and fight against McGovern. He doesn't care about his voters and he is in his position for the WRONG reason.

They don’t have the right to tell us not to bring cameras. It is a public event.

Soon someone who is asking questions will be called “unruly” and will be led away in handcuffs.

And that’s how the forces of the left will suppress dissent.

A good opportunity to organize—cameras are easily carried in your pocket. If 100 people start recording, what will they do? If 100 people start chanting, “take our questions!”, what will they do?

They are taking away all of our normal, non-violent means of seeking political change.

Yes, they are. With the vote fraud that takes place on massive scales, your assertion is buttressed.

They're going for it now.
