FORT LAUDERDALE - To the South Florida gay community, Jonathan Bleiweiss was a pioneering, openly gay Broward sheriff's deputy who fought discrimination within that agency earlier in his career.
But court documents released Tuesday portray Bleiweiss, 29, as a manipulative sex offender who preyed on illegal immigrants too scared to contact authorities. He would act like a jilted lover when the men would not return his calls or text messages, according to those records, based on victims' accounts.

I don't know who to believe. The cop may be acting out an sick power trip or the victims might be using this as an excuse to get a "u visa" and stay in the US legally.

When are we going to get beyond this political correctness and just state the fact that the vast majority of sexual abuse, especially against children, come from gay people. I know you aren’t supposed to say that for fear of being branded a homophobe.
I am not an expert on this particular case — but I seem to recall from a cursory glance at the news article that there were incriminating text messages from the cop to the “undocumented” worker.
The left has an interesting dilemma: Defend the illegal or defend the homo.
What do you expect when you hire a pervert? (Hint: perversion).
More than likely they will just attack the police department, George Bush, stupid white people and the former Miss California for fostering a climate of ‘hate’.

Which could just as easily imply a mutual relationship as a coercive one. If the cop acted like a lovesick puppy in his texts, than you have to take the victims word whether the meetings were willing hookups or not.
Will the media jump all over him and blast it all over TV 24/7? I doubt it. He has a get out of jail free card.
I would imagine even if it was a consensual relationship it would be against some sort of ethics rule.
We know how well liberals enforce ethical rules between those in power. (Think Clinton and Lewinski)
So, other than sodomites, who can feel safe knowing that these kinds of perps are our police officers?
