The Nazis came to power in Germany promising a national social welfare system that guaranteed a living wage, national healthcare, expansion of public transportation, control of industry and central planning including which companies and industries got preferential treatment. The party also had an extreme environmental agenda that was only set aside when the realities of the nation’s military needs intruded on their screwball policies.

Teachers, including college professors had to be union members and the union leaders were all party members. Government workers had to be union members and members of the party.

All dissent was treated as treasonous and unpatriotic. Union and party activists roamed the country disrupting any political dissent and were not shy about getting violent to achieve their ends.

The Nazis used the Jews, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Gypsies, and gays as scapegoats and blamed the nation’s problems on them. Much like our national socialists blame all the nation’s ills on conservatives, libertarians, practicing Christians, and constitutionalists.

They gained control of the media by favoring outlets that promoted their radical agenda, and eventually eliminated all independent voices in the nation’s radio, print and film media.

History repeats itself. Watch the Democrats create something like the Reichstag fire within the next 12 to 18 months.

Oh, we don't really think Obama is a NAZI. The National Socialist Party was a German thing. We do think that Obama wants to be a dictator. He's being compared to a NAZI because he and his minions believe and act like NAZIs and the NAZIs are the most familiar totalitarian regime to the American public. So, stop trying this let's be reasonable crap liberals pull when the truth about them is told.

The comparison is now popping up because of Obama's words and actions of the past week. Sending out his henchmen to stop the town hall meetings won't help. Asking Americans to rat out there neighbors is about as unAmerican as one can get. Trying to use health care to place "limitations" on the care the old, handicapped and other unworthies receive is a little too close to what the NAZIs did. And the NAZIs didn't start with the Jews. Replace Republican and Christian with Jewish to know who Obama's future scapegoats will be.

Ignore all that is going on if you want, but we won't back down. Silent No More.

Hitler was ingenious in naming the Nazi Party to appeal to disparate groups. It stands for National German Socialist Workers Party. Nationalist and German were considered to be right-wing terms. Socialist and Workers were considered to be left-wing terms. Thus he was able to attract people from both extremes of the political spectrum, left and right.

I was reading that the term "Nazi" was also a gutteral reference to "Nationalize" or the nationalization of private industries, consolidating them under state control.

Nazis not Liberals? Certainly not. Neither is the left in truth, their consolidation of so many different interests is simply the accumulation of useful idiots they can use to undermine the nation. They are hurled against the politcal wall like so much fecal matter, to see what will stick and be used to damage the country.

And I suspect once they have consolidated their power, these groups will find that they are of no more use to those who have siezed that power, in a most upsetting manner.

The right doesn't see people in balkanzied terms of race, we see Americans and work to promote the interests of all Americans. As a group, since we do not make a point to distinguish ourselves as being made up of multiple races/cultures, it's easy for the left to portray us as "old white men", when the right is more representative of an advanced state of race relations - an integrated society.

If you want to call Obama an Leninist, I have no problem with that. He is starting to use his Union thugs to break up the Townhall meetings. He is using tactics that Lenin and Hitler used, but he is by no means a Nazi.
