No. There are no FEMA camps. If there were, they would have been pretty handy during Katrina and Rita, wouldn’t they? We could have shipped people from New Orleans there.
These are for internees we get in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Yes - and they are a distinctly different MOS. 31C (95C under the old nomenclature). It is still an active MOS, titled "Confinement Specialist."
This is something relatively new.

A person I work with has left and is stationed in KS. With his new title and job he has asked his son in the Army if he would fire on American citizens if ordered. The question of valid and his son did not question why he asked it. I posted this to open your eyes about the Democrats I don't trust as all. I did not post this again the Army. They are loyal Americans and they are lead by an idiot group in the White House. If you can't see the dividing line, you are the problem. I can.

The US Navy had enough for Cuba. The Army is short of guards? It is a permanent need. The military operates a large number of very old and permanent prisons for military personnel including in foreign countries.
Outside of war needs and refugee needs around the entire globe, the military also has to maintain prisons for it's own criminals from it's population that is equal to that of several states combined, that includes police, prison guards, wardens and every other facet of civilian life as it relates to criminal internment for up to life and even death row prisoners.

I don’t have as much faith in our current Administration. I posted this so Freepers could keep their eyes open. As we have found time and time again it is the Obama speeches given to followers that are the real truth and motives of him. He good friend Ayres joked years ago about reeducation camps just as Obama talks about single payer health care but denies it also. History can repeat itself. America gave the complete power of government except the Supreme Court to the Democrats. They are transforming America at the fastest rate I have ever seen. The more they win, the more they attempt.

They very well might be. The Army breaks down its personnel needs by Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), and if there are shortages in on MOS, they will recruit into that MOS more. I suspect much of the incoming personnel pool is going into the combat MOSs.

Sir, with all due respect I do understand. I understand that the United States military supports and defends the Constitution of the United States and has done it well for over 200 years. I also understand that you are accusing them of ignoring the Constitution and preparing to inter the citizenry for political purposes. You make this accusation as they risk their lives defending this nation on battlefields throughout the world. The freedom you use on this forum is protected solely by them and yet you slander them. This is not the first thread I have seen today on this "black helicopter" theory. If this is what Free Republic has become I am disappointed to say the least.

The army has been running facilities for captured insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan for years. Army MP's help man Gitmo. The Army runs the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth. The increase in requirements for MP guards began in the Bush Administration. Its a volunteer army, they need to recruit for replacements when soldiers leave the army.
Quit wasting your time with nonsense like this, there are plenty of things out there that the Obama Administration is really doing that ought to be getting our attention. The country is in real danger, but not from Army MP's.

The same process that they do when they receive any order that is illegal.
1. Ask to clarify it. “Do you really mean round up American citizens and take them to internment camps against their will, Mr. President?”
2. Inform someone outside the chain of command.
3. If it is an illegal order, disobey it. The Commander in Chief's illegal orders are as invalid as any other leader's illegal orders.
The Army we have today are not automata. The officers and NCOs I see today are the most educated and best-trained soldiers in American history. They are thinkers. They are aware of politics. The fear of CONUS units trying to intern civilians against their will poorly founded.

Watching Glenn Beck on Friday a person from England gave the fact that the British health care employment was the third largest in the world. The first was the Chinese Army and second was the Indian Railroad. Right now employment Homeland Security in this country in increasing. I get to see the job listings. As of Rush';s show the only increasing employer in American is the United States government. We are Nationalizing America at an extreme rate. If you want to think it is all for the good of America keep fooling yourself.

This what I believe. If ordered to most of teh U S Military would not obey the orders of this President. So don't tell me what I am saying or believe. But as Obama's adviser said, "We should not let a crisis go by and not take advantage of ", (paraphrase). Obama has been replacing the higher structure of the military at a faster rate then any other President. My focus is there. They can order the ads and the new rates. So condemn me all you want but you are only killing the messenger. So you don't like my methods. It is time to wake up and the cold water is not pleasant.

You posted a description of an ordinary job in the military because you don’t know anything about the military so you didn’t realize that they have jails and prisons and maximum security prisons and death row prisoners just like the real world and they have to have prison guards that can do everything that California prison guards do.
Military prison guards quit their jobs and move on, even more than their civilian counterparts probably, meaning that just like a California prison or a South Dakota prison the military has to constantly advertise for new personnel.

You aren't making your point very clearly. Do you think that because I live in Maryland I do not observe the policies of this President? Maryland is a very diverse state and many of its workers do not work for the Federal government. Furthermore, Maryland does elect Republican House members and when the conservatives in this State move, they make the Baltimore cabal shake in fear.
If there is any increase in employment around here because of the Federal Government, I haven't noticed. Most of the increases seem to be in Obama’s White House Staff and his czars, but then you have the gross downsizing of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to balance that out.
We in this area aren't raking the bucks over this Administration. What incompetence! Even Lyndon Johnson would have done things better.

For what it’s worth (for me, because he’s my son & an honorable man - I believe him) He is retired army - 23 yrs. Was an MP, & was in Iraq for 18 mnths. He is currently working in a job that requires him to work closely with Ft Leonard Wood.
I wrote to him about this:
#1 me to him:
Not sure what to make of this one. Has the NG ever advertised for ‘jobs’ before? What the hell is up in this country - are we gonna survive this madness?
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/13417
#2 him to me:
Yep. They sure do, all the time. Most of the civilian jobs associated with the NG require service as a guardman as well. This is nothing unusual. :o)
#3 - me to him:
So, you don’t think that ‘internment specialist’ has anything to do with the fact that we are being overrun by a marxist/commie govt? That the natives are restless about this ‘deathcare’ scheme set up by obummer?
#4 him to me:
LoL. No ma’am. Internment Specialist is the new name for corrections. The school is right here at Ft Leonard Wood, it’s a branch of the MP. These are the Soldiers that run the military prisons and brigs, as well as places like Guantanamo Bay.

Mixing the word relocation in a military prison specialty title makes sense to me, it has been a big role for the American military for centuries. Here is a little description of pre WWII preparations, these types duties are part of what the military is required to do.
"The post-World War II occupation of Germany was a huge and diverse undertaking spanning almost eleven years, conducted in conjunction with three other members of the wartime alliance and involving in various degrees a number of US governmental departments and agencies. The occupation was, moreover, a major event in German history and in the history of the postwar world; and for the Army it was a mission second only in scope and significance to the war itself. The subject of the present volume is that Army mission, its origin, the manner in which it was defined, and its execution to June 1946 in the period of primary Army responsibility."
"The narrative begins in the 1930s, before the outbreak of war in Europe, and concludes in mid-1946, a little more than a year after the victory. Although the likelihood of US military forces occupying Germany appeared infinitesimal in the late 1930s and only slightly greater in the first two years of the 1940s, the actions taken in those years were in some ways more significant than the subsequent mission-oriented plans and preparations. It was, of course, most important that the Army, albeit somewhat reluctantly, had recognized the need for civil affairs-military government doctrine and training before the requirement to administer occupied territory was placed upon it. This recognition was a true innovation in the conduct of military affairs."

I love it when I heard someone write Black Helicopter to put someone down. Working on Cinderbed Road near Lorton (You can look it up on Google Map). The helicopters took off over our building all day for Ft. Belvoir. In the early dawn or just at sunset the unmarked black helicopters take off over our building. I am not making this up. If you look on a overhead picture to the east you will see the field where they take off. Type in Cinderbed Road, Lorton, VA in Google Map. Over 6 1/2 years I have seen 4 of them. You can think me a kook but they are real and the government has them. They do only fly them late or early in the day. I left there in 2004. So if you want to belittle someone with that crap, I don't subscribe to it.
