Protesters disrupt town-hall healthcare talks("..revolution in our country..")

At scattered events across the United States, protesters are confronting members of Congress whose summer "town hall" meetings aim to get a sense of how Americans feel about overhauling healthcare.

Boiling Springs in South Carolina -- population 4,500 -- was true to its name on Thursday, giving U.S. Representative Bob Inglis a taste of rising anger among conservative voters toward President Barack Obama's reform plan.

"There is no way, shape or form we need to have a national healthcare system. No! Nothing! None! It's got to stop now," said one man who addressed the audience of 300 people to sustained applause.

The plans seek to provide coverage to nearly 46 million uninsured Americans and bring down healthcare costs.

Conservatives say they will lead to a nationalized healthcare system where government, rather than doctors, will make medical decisions. They say the plans will end up costing them more and boost the federal deficit.

"MAINSTREAM AMERICA"

"I consider myself just an average American but there is not a day or a week that goes by that I don't hear talk about revolution in our country because (of) the government," said a man who called himself a "conservative, mainstream American."

"We (the United States under Obama) have gone so far out of the Constitution," he said to a standing ovation.

Other speakers asked about "martial law" and "forced vaccinations" and when the topic turned to illegal immigrants in the Bible Belt town, someone shouted: "Bus them home."

Last week, a crowd in Philadelphia directed boos at Obama's Health and Human Services secretary, Kathleen Sibelius, and Democratic Senator Arlen Specter.

Protesters disrupted another meeting on Thursday in Tampa, Florida, with cries of "tyranny," and police made arrests at a similar meeting in St. Louis, Missouri.(continued)

Funny how Reuters didn't mention WHO was arrested at the St. Louis townhall (Union Thugs!) and made it seem like the "dispruptive" conservatives were the violent ones...

The crazy ‘RATS in D.C. are out of control. It’s time for Americans to remind them who they work for. It sure as hell isn’t BO.

Has anyone heard from the Republican Party.?

People are upset, they are making their felings known and republican politicians seem to be very quiet. They should be right in the middle of this mess screaming their lungs out.

LIARS, Democrats and conservatives BOTH are outraged at Obama's forced Socialized Health Care Reform, PERIOD. We want Health Care tweaked slowly and NOT Socialized or run by an incompetent Government.

Sounds like more and more people are waking up.

We shall see to what ends. I pray they are not just . . . ground under the tanks . . . a la . . . 20 years ago.

Unless they come out and give us support they will be toast. Maybe they want to be toast. I do not know. I am in the front lines and I sure hope some air cover is on the way. FROM THE REPUBLICANS!

For whatever reason this issue is waking up some of the masses. Maybe because it is so personal to people. But at least some people are waking up. And with that, they will see through the rest of the BS and start to convince others.

Obama is going to deeply regret opening this Pandora’s box.

Amen to that. obama and his cohorts in crime are out of control, reading (and believing) their own press releases. If they didn't see this coming, they are truly blind. This is a groundswell of genuinely concerned citizens - you know, those people our elected representatives are supposed to, well, represent - not rule and subjugate.

Every single politician should be getting the message loud and clear, wide screen and in hi-def: enough is too much already. Don't touch our health care and get the government out of our lives, not controlling them even more.

Last weekend outside the Post Office; two men had a table set up and were handing out anti Health Care literature. Persons unknown approached them and turned their table over and confronted them. The perps left before the police arrived and stayed to as the men resumed handing out literature.

At work we have had a number of very warm discussions about the current administration. Coworkers who have never said anything political are suddenly very Right side of the fence.

Phrases containing revolution and civil war are spoken often. Myself, I've taken the time to learn the words to the French National anthem La marseillaise; “To Arms Citizens,” “Against Us Stands Tyranny.”

I don’t think we will be grounded under the tanks. White House usage of union goons is very dumb. It can escalate with someone getting killed from a beating. Kicking someone in the head while he is on the ground (ask any martial arts instructor) is flirting with murder. Murder will beget murder. If the SEIU goons think they are doing Obama, his cabinet and Dem Congress a favor, they may end up making them all targets for counter violence. Cool heads in the Dem party need to step up and tell the White House to step away from the abyss and call off the goons. History shows that once the cycle of violence starts, it is very hard to predict and harder to stop. Anyone who choses sides and willing to commit violence to start a civil war is stupid, because if he picks the wrong side and it loses, the leaders that recruited and egged them on are on the helicopters flying away while their followers are making their last stand on the hill. The SEIU members should think about that before they follow orders to commit violence.

I’m pretty sick of hearing them say we need to “discuss” and “debate” the issue. Obama and his goons want to control our lives, and we want freedom. There’s nothing to discuss or debate, it’s that damn simple.

(”..revolution in our country..”)

.
Isn’t that part of Obama’s plan for the country? Divide and conquer.

That happens...watch 10,000000 Americans descend upon Capitol Hill to remind their employees of just exactly whom they work for...

Sorry, but this is bigger than the Republican Party. What we're seeing is the end of the two Party system.

If they get any part of that health care bill in, it will grow with time. They best kill it now.
