Why is National Guard recruiting for 'internment' cops?
2009 WorldNetDaily ^ | August 07, 2009 | Bob Unruh

An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an "Internment/Resettlement" specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on "threatening" conservatives.

The ads, at the GoArmy.com website as well as others including Monster.com, cite the need for:

"Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists in the Army are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. I/R Specialists provide rehabilitative, health, welfare, and security to U.S. military prisoners within a confinement or correctional facility; conduct inspections; prepare written reports; and coordinate activities of prisoners/internees and staff personnel.

The campaign follows by only weeks a report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warning about "right-wing extremists" who could pose a danger to the country – including those who support third-party political candidates, oppose abortion and would prefer to have the U.S. immigration laws already on the books enforced.

While I trust politicians about as far as I can throw them, I’m sure this is all about overseas operations.

“Well Obama wants to be like Lincoln, and didn’t Lincoln have political enemies jailed?”

Indeed he did. In order to “save” the constitution, President Lincoln ignored the constitution. He arrested legistlators in border states to keep them from succeeding. When the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court ruled him unconstitutional, POTUS Lincoln considered having the Chief Justice arrested....fortunately cooler heads prevailed and quietly kept him from doing so. Regardless of how one views the rightness or wrongness of the civil war...from either side. I think it is safe to say Lincoln did all kinds of violations of the rule of law.

Although, for the most part, Lincoln’s actions ultimately indirectly ended many wrongs (slavery). I don’t want any other POTUS to attempt to do the things POTUS Lincoln did. Especially one, IMO, that is of questionable eligibility to be POTUS. Even that being ignored. Barrack Obama is NOT Abraham Lincoln.

I forgot to add that Hurricane Katrina showed us how efficient the US Government is at rounding up people and placing them in those pre-established internment camps.

Ya think the WH is planting this article to bait and rile people up?

Not the White House - World Net Daily.

"World Net Daily is garbage. Pathetic, disgusting, trash. They’re connecting dots that don’t connect to incite fear. Tossing chum in the water to draw sharks.

I completely disagree. Most of what they write is accurate and truthful.
Far more accurate and truthful than anything you see from MSM.

What have you seen that isn't specifically?

"I forgot to add that Hurricane Katrina showed us how efficient the US Government is at rounding up people and placing them in those pre-established internment camps." Then it makes sense why Obama is improving that efficiency, doesn't it.

"The right wing whacks are saying almost the same garbage the left wing whacks used to say."

Nonsense. And since you obviously exclude yourself from being a "right wing wack", what does that make you?

A liberal obviously. A self proclaimed centrist who thinks they know it all, like you know Obama is a natural born American, therefore doesn't have to prove it.

Perhaps the army has its own plans to intern another group altogether.

Don't tell anyone but the easiest way to defeat the flagged@whitehouse.gov snitch mongers is to repeated report all of Congress, the MSM and their fellow travelers.

Salt is bad for you.

It’s better to keep track of these things and stay on guard. If it leads to nothing, fine. But more often than not, these things have a habit of linking together with other things and expose something big.

Just a theory here...a hypothetical...would Americans trade their guns for food?

Is the Congress quietly passing the Food Modernization and Safety Act, which would reward Agribusiness and squash the little guys? Whose cosponsor has a spouse employed or connected with Monsanto? Follow the money.

I just think food is a basic RIGHT (you can't pursee life and liberty without food...so should gov't stand in the way of folks acquiring food, even if they want to buy it from a small farmer?).

I'm just postulating that you can't eat ammo...

I suspect that the guard house MOS is one of those peculiar jobs that is not very desirable. There aren’t too many Sgt. “Fatso” Judsons out there.

Off the top of my head, without any effort whatsoever:

1. WND published an article claiming that Obama signed an executive order that prevented the release of his birth certificate. The EO had absolutely nothing to do with Obama’s BC. It was regarding presidential records held in the national archives.

2. WND claimed that the House had passed a bill to prevent the exective branch personnel, specifically Obama, from being compelled to release confidential records to the media. In actuality, the bill was written to prevent journalists from being forced to release confidential sorce information to members of the executive branch except as a last resort under court order.

3. WND continues to perpetuate the lie that Americans were unable to travel to Pakistan in 1981 because it was either banned or difficult for some reason. There was no travel restriction for Americans travelling to Pakistan, not by the U.S. And not by Pakistan. It was so easy for Americans to travel to Pakistan that Pakistan was issuing 30-day visas at their airports to American tourists. I’ve published the document number and text of the U.S. State Dept. Travel Advisory many times on FR to dispel that rumor and I’ve sent it to WND multiple times.

I’d keep going but I’m typing from my blackberry and now have berry thumbs.
