Folks, I think the time has come: Sarah Palin MUST challenge President Obama to a televised debate on Health Care reform, especially as it pertains to the bill before Congress. Now, I know for a FACT that Obama would NEVER accept the challenge, but it is a challenge Ms. Palin has to make. A refusal by the President exposes him for the intellectual fraud that he is. Accepting the debate challenge would expose him even further, because the bill is indefenseable. Former Gov. Palin: I urge you to make the challenge to the President, the only condition being that the debate would be held SANS TELEPROMPTERS. You can take the lead in this debate! Fellow Freepers, I implore you to forward this post or similar posts to ALL your friends, neighbors, local talk show hosts asking the former Alaskan Governor to CHALLENGE the President to a debate....
The point of making the challenge is this: it is a no lose situation for Palin.
In all likelihood, he would decline (Palin wins)
If he accepted, he would be forced to defend specifics of the bill without a teleprompter (Palin wins).
With all due respect to Sarah, Newt Gingrich is infinitely more qualified for that debate.
But ‘let’s be clear,’ Obama isn’t interested in debating anything.
Absolutely. I was worried for her her first week out of office, but she’s clearly got fantastic political instincts, is adapting them to the requirements of a national-level (as opposed to quirky Alaskan) audience, and has found her out-of-office stride incredibly quickly.
Which is exactly why she MUST challenge him...
He is a far more skilled debater than Biden, who completely dismantled her during the election.
So you are recommending that she bluff? Interesting tactic unless the left decides to take her up on it with the intent of showcasing her lack of knowledge on the health care debate. I’m not trying to insult her, I just don’t think she has the chops for that one yet.

I thought Palin hurt our cause by using the terms “evil” and “death panel” because I thought the democrats would use her comments as ammunition - and they did. Fortunately it’s not working so far.
Having said that, If you check out Palin’s response to Obama’s comments (on her facebook page) regarding “death panels” during his NH town hall, she does a great job of backing up her “death panel” comment with all of the known facts, including some quotes from liberals. Of course the media won’t cover her response.
If you know of people who have been convinced by the media that Palin is a lightweight, I recommend sending this response to them. It serves a double purpose - bolsters Palin’s standing and does a good job of knocking Obamacare.

This is barely even a matter of debate. How many people were turning up to Biden events compared with Palin events?
True. The way she has been doing it, with him invoking her phrasology, he’s making her the de facto authority. I like it. How refreshing to see a Republican play political chess as well as she does!

Is using the term ‘Kenyan Mutt’ really helpful? A ‘mutt’ imples there is something wrong with someone who has the DNA of two different races.

Kind of how he whipped Kerry on the debate on global warming, by starting out AGREEING the global warming is a man made problem and man can fix it by changing our behavior. THAT great debater Gingrich is better than Sarah?
