Gieco = Government Employees Insurance Company

They used to exist strictly for govt. employees.

Now, they insure everyone.

Gieco abandoned New Jersey drivers in the early 70’s. I don’t care how cheap they are - I’ll never insure anything I own with them.

Ever.

My father was in the military and used GEICO. When I married a man in the military, I wanted to add my husband to my GEICO policy, they didn’t want to cover his sports car. Fortunately for us, he had USAA and I moved over to his policy. Been with them for 21 years now and not only have they been great when we needed them, they also have very reasonable rates.

“Gieco = Government Employees Insurance Company”

Yeah, I remember when I was in the Army, I had to wait till I was an E-5 to get GEICO. They were way less than anything else a lower enlisted could get, at that time.
