This has happened before. At that time we had McCarthy. There were good and bad things that happened during that time but it mainly focused on communism. Because of the McCarthy era, we set communism back 60 years. I believe that it is coming back. Will America stand up against it again? We’ll see. America has to stand up to it if it is going to survive. Yes, we’ll most likely make mistakes along the way. Yes, some people may get hurt by it all but we aren’t perfect. All we can do is the best we can for our country.

In watching the current debate over national health care, the “death panels” as dubbed by Governor Palin, were the most diabolical aspect of the plan, in my opinion, regardless of what kind of spin the socialist progressives tried to place on it. I hear it’s been removed from the plan, probably so the elites can claim “There is NO provision for end of life counseling in this plan!”
I remember watching a Discovery Channel production that dealt with “end of life counseling”. It outlined the basic nazi philosophy that if the government decided that you had no use to the state, “Existance without life” the Nazis called it, you were euthanized. If you can find the Discovery Channel film, it’s worth the time to watch it.

Only removed from one of four Senate plans. Be aware that after this passes the Senate it goes into conference committee. There the House and Senate get together and hash out their differences. The fact that a point may have been removed from the Senate bill only means that it could very easily be put back in. You shouldn’t think the house is going to give up any of their points easily. Especially one of the key points likely to save the most money.

It is certainly a sure sign of character or lack of, when we observe how those in government, so easily, and so cavalierly treat an oath as nothing more than a formality necessary to assume their office.
For those who have truly “served” our country, at the risk of life, we would condsider dishonoring our oath as a form of treason, and at the very least a dishonorable act unbecoming a patriot.
I’m reminded of the scripture “pray for those who despitefully use you”. We have reached a point in time when that scripture has more impact and meaning if the conditions you speak of are to have a chance of being avoided.
Perhaps if enough people pray for an awakening for those who have become our oppressors, we might have a chance at change worth talking about. If not, at least we tried, begging that same Creator our founding fathers invoked in the Declaration if Independence.
The Creator who led them through their war of independence, to secure those unalianable rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness by the means of a government of HIS creation, and not one where every principle he endorsed has been ground to dust, spit upon, and denegrated as unworthy in the new America.
May that same Creator be willing to save the Republic, or we who believe therein may become just like the Principles HE endorsed, ground to dust, spit upon, and unworthy to exist in the new America.
If the above happens, it will be no more or less than what happened to that very Creator, while he lived among man, and suffered such indignity at the hands of the arrogant, ignorant, hypocrits, who were then in power. In man’s world, not much has changed in two thousand years.
