Glenn Beck fans are fighting back against a campaign led by a black activist organization prompting major advertisers to withdraw from Beck's top-rated Fox News Channel program.

....

Now a husband and wife team of Beck fans has launched a website – DefendGlenn.com – that lists the contact information for advertisers for Beck's and other Fox News programs and provides users with information and suggestions to contact those companies to urge their continued sponsorship. The site also asks users to contact Beck's current patrons to thank them for their loyalty to the Fox News star's program.

"Our goal is to hit advertisers hard with response from Beck fans with real purchasing power, unlike the instigators of this phony Astroturf boycott," the founder of DefendGlenn told WND.

"At some point they will realize they've been punked by a bunch of paid activists, college students and slacker bloggers in their parents' basements who don't purchase their products anyway," said the founder, who asked that his name be withheld.

FWIW, F.R. broke the news of this Saturday. Nice to see fans fighting back. If Tweets from the DefendGlenn folks are accurate, Obama's goons will cost these companies a lot of customers.

The days of conservatives bending over and letting the Left run roughshod are over. These Tea Parties and Town Halls are our Flight 93 moment.

Legal question: Since Van Jones’ outfit started this boycott, is it illegal, or a violation of any ethics laws for a government official to petition and/or coerce private companies to drop advertising sponsorships?

In a sane world it probably would be (though I am not a lawyer). But we seem to live in a world almost devoid of sanity, so who knows?

Looks like the site has been hacked. When I click on support wall it forwards to a liberal site. If this is a mom/pop operation they may well need some help.

cancel your Gieco insurance. I have six vehicles and I will cancel before noon tomorrow. These sponcers have made a huge mistake. I never watch their mindless commercials anyway because I record Beck and fast forward any commercial.

Businesses, especially businesses that advertise nationally, would do well to adopt a blanket policy that says; “Just because we advertise our product on a particular network or television show does not mean that we endorse the product, service, or opinions expressed on that show.”

And then tell the would-be protesters to go pound sand.

The bad press and angry letters that these companies are now getting represent a self-inflicted wound and they have no one but themselves to blame.

With Eric Holder as AG and our congress run by Reid and Pelosi, don't you think this question is rather moot?

Let’s Roll!!! The leadership of the GOP has no spine and no guts, but the rest of us do. When your enemies fight you from their sewer, you have to climb in and use their tactics back on them.

These companies must have morons running their marketing departments.

If Glenn is drawing so much attention across the country on his television show, their product commercials are getting great exposure.
