“I will vote against the interests of my district”

THAT’S awesome, LOL! I see a campaign commercial right there.

No doubt, Massa will be re-elected by his district.

Yes, Courage. For a ‘rat, means telling voters he represents the statists, and not constituents. A ‘rat thru and thru.

He wasn't talking to his voters. He was informally speaking to a small group of Netroots Nation nuts outside his district behind his constituents back.

That's not courage.

This jerk is just the tip of the iceberg. Our government no longer thinks that it works for us. We need to clean house ... vote ‘em all out and start from scratch.

I've been writing a bit tongue-in-cheek, so pardon a bit:

Then, he was talking to what he considers his constituents, the Netroots Nation nuts.

The revolution has begun... Whether it will culminate in a war, peaceful separation or something else is not yet clear.

“What do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations…This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.” — John Adams

I live in Massa's district.

We voted out the Pubbie who was in there before him for voting for TARP after voting against it.

We'll toss Massa, too. Massa only won by a couple of percentage points, and a lot of the votes for him were really votes against Kuhl.

Problem for voters is that Upstate's probably gonna lose two house seats after the next census. Three guesses which two districts are going to be gerrymandered out of existence?

FWIW, my bet is that Massa's either been promised something for his vote to compensate him for the loss of his seat if he's voted out, or Massa's figgering that he has to suddenly start veering to the hard left in order to compete in a newly gerrymandered district.

In any case, most of the voters in the district he's got now are screwed.

Gerrymandering. More proof of why Upstate needs its own state.

Terminal disconnect.

Sorry. Representative government means he was elected to represent his constituents by those constituents, who voted for him with the understanding that he would represent their interests. It’s government of, by and for the people, not government of what our elected dictator says is best for the people. Lest you think this is a flame, spend over 30 years studying Arab politics like I have, and you will understand what I mean.

Isn’t there ANYway we can get these people out of office...before...a vote is to be taken? There must be some proceedings that can be started to end their terms before they are to end actually. Are we just stuck with all of them?
