Amidst questions of whether or not any Senate Republicans will support a health care reform bill, Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., today said that the “White House and the Senate Democratic leadership still prefer a bipartisan bill.”
The Reid spokesman said that “neither the White House nor the leadership have made a decision to pursue reconciliation,” the somewhat controversial legislative process by which a bill is introduced in such a manner so that it requires merely 50 votes instead of 60 to proceed to a vote, thus removing the threat of filibuster.
Manley said that “we will not make a decision to pursue reconciliation until we have exhausted efforts to produce a bipartisan bill.”
“However,” he cautioned, “patience is not unlimited and we are determined to get something done this year by any legislative means necessary.”
“By any means necessary” is a phrase popularized by Malcolm X (demanding the rights of African-Americans to be respected in society), though it is thought to have originally been penned by French existentialist Jean Paul Sartre in his play about assassination “Dirty Hands” (in a line demanding the end of class).

NO THEY WON’T.
I’m in Maine, and that piece of pond scum known as Olympia Snowe took questions in an unannounced gathering outdoors today in downtown Bangor, Maine.
She discussed “healthcare reform” and made it clear that a bill will pass this year. You can expect this bit*h and Susan Collins, the stimulus sisters, to vote yes on any bill the democrats propose. There aren’t words in the English language to describe how much I depise these two scumbags.
Entitlements are only impossible to roll back after people have become dependent upon them. If most of the bill doesn’t start until 2013, we may well be able to roll it back. The question is, can we trust the Republicans to follow through with that? And if they do, will we have the votes to override a veto? If not, we’ll need to win the presidency in 2012 to get it done. But even in 2012, this can be rolled back, since nobody is yet dependent on it.
The thing is, no matter what happens, we’re headed for a civil war. Nobody wants to admit it, but we’re barreling towards it full speed. People who think it can’t happen here are deluding themselves.

I heard that Snowe wants a 5-year trial without the public option to see if competition can be improved. Then, if it isn’t after five years and prices don’t go down, the option would kick in.
No need in that. Shooting the commie threatening to arrest you in THEIR foot would prove your belief in the Second Amendment just as well. Plus, it will go a long way in making a true believer out of the commie threatening you as well.
Now that is a win-win.
Actually that disclaimer exist because the Social Security Act of 1935 itself contains the provision that Congress can change at any time any provisions of the act they want without deliberating and passing a Bill in Congress.
Basically everyone on SS is at the total mercy of Congress without benefit of public debate and sign off by the President.
That means that when they`re kicked out,we can use any means to get our goals.
I really believe that you’re right. This reconciliation nonsense is simply another trial balloon, one of many that the WH has released in the last week to try and find SOMETHING that’ll work for them. I’ve never seen a WH look so clueless in my life.

Manley should be advising Reid citizens opposed to having this death warrant become law will prevent them by any means necessary.
Is it possible to impeach any congressman? I can see some well organized ‘mobs’ around the country trying that if this does go through. What does it take to impeach anyone or anything? I was young when Nixon left, and the impeachment of Clinton was nothing, actually. But none of them were ‘people-led.’ Is that even possible?
What 2010 Election? IMO, tin-foil in place, they will stop free elections using some sort of fake-’flu-induced martial law. It is what’s up the Marxist’s sleeve.

At the end of the video, he talks about the 2nd Amendment. Ironic that the self-defense he advocated was needed in the end against the very people he trusted at the beginning. But, anyhow, he used the phrase, "by any means necessary," in the context of self-defense. The Dems here are using it in the context of aggression: They will pass a bill, thus forcing us to comply "by any means necessary." I can agree with the importance of self-defense and self-preservation, even if the person calling for it hates me. But, what the Dems want to do is the opposite: whether they realize it or not, their plan will take away those rights from all people.
