BOSTON -- Political blogs are abuzz with a rumor that former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is moving to Rhode Island.

The rumor was first reported Saturday by the Anchorage Daily News, which said the gossip is that Palin has “finally decided” what she is going to do with the rest of her life. Her plan, the column said, is to settle “in Rhode Island with $7 million from her book and a contract with FOX.”

An even "bluer" state than MA? Higher taxes than MA too. ???

Rhode Island should be so lucky.

Anything is possible, and if the Palins move, they will have their logical reasons, but the high taxes there would make you wonder ...

I call utter Bullsh*t. It's the same BS gossip as the rumor that she bought land in Montana or is going to move to Long Island.

The previous rumors were made in the same swing as the "divorce" rumors.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why would she leave Alaska, which she loves, to move to a place like Rhode Island? This is like the rumor two days ago that Perry was going to appoint her to be the next senator from Texas: entirely loopy.

A little competition for Huckabee?

The Anchorage Daily News emphasized it was only reporting a rumor.

“There has been all kinds of speculation and rumors about what she would do next, and so our column has found it amusing to follow and note some of the rumors that seem to have currency from week to week,” Pat Dougherty, the paper's editor, told the Providence Journal.

In other words... BS.

“The Anchorage Daily News emphasized it was only reporting a rumor.”

Then why report it? RI seems a very unlikely place for SP given its political make up and weather. SP has said that she likes hot weather.

I heard a rumor that she is moving to Washington, DC in the begining of 2013. Something January 20th.

Didn’t Sarah famously say to the press “Stop making stuff up!” which sent them into fits of apoplexy?

True ... last week did the same paper repeat the "rumor" that the Palins were divorcing, LOL.

It has been 90 degrees plus with dew points in the 70s for the last two weeks here. It feels hot to me. kind of what you folks are getting on the Left Coast.

I agree: smells like BS.

RI has some really nice spots, so from that point I could see it, but politically? Makes zero sense.

The left wing rumor mills are testing the MSM to see if there is any rumor they won’t pick up.

Seems there isn’t.

I would guess that they're trying to increase circulation. I like RI, though. It has lovely beaches and good restaurants. It's also an easy ride for me.

for somebody who’s been dismissed repeatedly as “irrelevant” and “uneducated,” Gov. Palin must be the most watched political animal that ever existed.
