Well duhhh...he let her drown before he could get her back to the hotel room and take advantage of her.
Even then, we could argue that he was technically right, 'never romantically involved with her'. A play on words. How many one night stands did he count as 'romantic'? Taking advantage of the ladies (or however he worded it) might involve some shmoozing on his part to seduce them, but make no mistake, he himself didn't necessarily feel 'romantic'.
Ok, so thats why he would ask more often than not if anyone heard any new Chapaquiddic jokes over the last few years...

I have no problem believing that.
However, that statement only solicits more related questions.
Did he lead her to believe he was romantically involved?
Did "romantically involved" imply sex.
Did they have sex without romantic involvement?
Did she believe she was romantically involved with him?
I was saying that to a friend of mine the day old Ted ate it.
