Then where is the evidence for what you stated? The Bible was an oral history and written down years if not centuries after it supposedly take place. None of what has been seen backs up your view. Is god so mean that he want to deceive us over thousands and thousands of observations?

The Grand Canyon was formed because the land is rising. The river has stayed about the same elevation. The river has eroded the canyon as the land rose about a mile around it.
The Great Lakes are getting shallower. It’s not because of “global warming”, it’s because the land is rebounding because of thousands of years of mile high glaciers depressed the land. The water for the glaciers came from the oceans. During the ice age, the Oceans were hundreds of feet lower.

Actually, I would see evidence of something that supposedly happened already, millions if not billions of years ago, depending on which scientific theory of origins you happen to believe.

If God actually created the universe 6000 years ago, an assertion I am not claiming, but merely hypothesising for this discussion, and God also created the laws of physics, and determined to obey those laws with his creation, then God would have, 6000 years ago, created both the phenomena you are observing, and the photons necessary to convey the image of that phenomena to earth at this time.

If God created a star that is more than 6000 light-years away, for the purpose of providing it’s light to the earth, God would certainly have also created the light from the star hitting the earth at the same time. But a scientist would, because they must ignore the supernatural, postulate that the light took millions of years.

In other words, I don’t see how an act of Creation would not include the “appearance of age”. Adam was a grown man, the trees in the garden appear to have been fully matured, the animals were old enough to eat.

Science is bound by it’s premises, the most basic in evolution being that all things MUST have come about naturally. If Creation is true, the basic premise of the evolutionary mythology of origins is false.

I remember smart alecks who didn't know when to keep their condescending and puerile comments to themselves when I served in the U.S. Army back in the 80’s. Perhaps you could imagine for yourself how such a circumstance was dealt with?

By pounding away on your keyboard with puerile comments yourself, apparently.

A screen name, and the comments emanating from that screen name, are just a collection of letters on a screen, and you're itching to fight with them? I've never cared for the letter "q," myself, but I don't imagine kicking it's, what, butt lol, is going to accomplish anything.

SO you have no problem saying the scientists who use the scientific method to falsely claim that global warming is a fact are instead following their religion of Gaia;

But you object to someone here saying scientists who use the scientific method to falsely claim that we evolved over millions of years is a fact are instead following their religion of humanism?

Obviously, you see that the scientists who push global warming are deceived. But you can’t entertain the notion that scientists are also deceived about origins?

I think you’d find there was a lot more animated debate over what was really accepted as science here, if the evolutionists would ever let that conversation start.

But there is no way any creationist is going to post any questions about anything when the first thing the evolutionists do in any thread is call us names and suggest we don’t belong in a rational discussion.

Why discuss anything with people who call you cretins, or ignorant, or bad christians who are leading people to hell?

We also won’t likely correct publicly those on our side, because first the other side is doing that, and second you don’t attack your own side when you are being personally assaulted by your opponents.

You can of course claim that God simply removed half the water, so that the rest would rush around, but that is not science, that is magic.

We are postulating a God who just flooded the entire world to a depth greater than the highest peak.

We are talking miracles here -- and you are trying to use science to bound the miracle. By science, the flood never could have happened. The flood was "magic".

God created man, and will allow a large percentage of that creation burn for eternity in hell. He turned an entire city into a fiery salt hellhole. He turned a woman into a pillar of salt. He ordered his people to kill men, women, and children, to burn down cities, to take no prisoners.

And you won’t believe in “god” if that “god” was “so mean” that “he” would decieve us by creating evidence that would allow us our delusion about his lack of existance, if that is what we chose to believe?

Let me turn that around for you. Let’s assume for this argument that God’s salvation is free will (I’m a predestinationalist, but that’s another discussion). God creates Man, but wants to give him the ability to reject God, if that is what Man wants to do. Each man is to be given the ability to refuse to believe in the God revealed in the Bible.

Now, what kind of free will would God be giving us, if he provided irrefutable scientific proof that God exists and that he created us? What man would be able to resist the truth, if the truth was so plain to see that there was no evidence whatsoever in opposition to that truth?

We would in fact be forced to believe, unless we simply wanted to ignore everything we saw around us.

So, under that hypothesis (free will, a God who loves us enough to provide the choice to us), you would almost have to postulate a God who planted evidence for a “lack of God”, so that humans, who are not stupid, could, if they chose, find “evidence” to support their rejection of God.

OK, let’s step back from that exercise. In the bible, God says that, in fact, the world reveals Him, but that some wish to reject Him. And the bible says that those who wish to reject Him, He gives them up.

When Jesus was asked why he spoke in parables, He said it was to keep some people in the dark. Elsewhere it says that hearts are hardened, lest people understand and come to the truth.

You of course are free to reject this God who created the world but won’t save it all. In fact, God specifically planned for many of His creation to reject the truth. And obviously, being humans, and not stupid, those who reject God will form MANY arguments for why the reject God, including the “God’s not fair”, or “God’s mean”, or “God doesn’t exist”.

Funny, the Bible text itself does not support a 6000 year old universe.

The days of mankind in the world is a different matter.

The Grand Canyon was formed because the land is rising. The river has stayed about the same elevation. The river has eroded the canyon as the land rose about a mile around it.

Astounding. How long has water been flowing uphill, in order to erode the Grand Canyon?

Or, is there some sort of hydrological feature that is somehow limited there, to the highest elevation of this regional uplift, and this forms the headwater of the Colorado River, in the middle of the Grand Canyon?

I'm familiar with the figure of speech, that "water always finds it's own level," but I never knew flowing water to be sentient and desirous of maintaining a certain altitude above sea level, either.

Light from the sun, moon and stars was established over the course of the six days (or millennia, if you want to go with that meaning of "yom") in Creation, Radix.

So, attempting to interpret Biblical Creation as being specific solely to mankind, on Earth, doesn't quite hold up to either a literal or allegorical reading. The truth of God, even presented as allegory, is not ever going to prove ultimately to be a lie.

Thanks so much for your kind words, WD! I was sort of dragged into the those theads because of the abysmal way they were treating people like Ex-Texan. But I didn’t see much reason to stick around once it became abundantly clear that the market crashed for all the reasons we had been warning about. But we certainly sounded the warning bell loud and clear during the leadup to the crash. I would like to think that we helped save some FReepers and lurkers that would have otherwise lost their shirts.

PS If you would like to be included on my HMS Creation ping list, feel free to drop me a PM. Although, I have to warn you, the fireworks explode at very close range in these threads!

All the best to you and yours—GGG

Well, at least "k" isn't bent on alphabetical tyranny. "Q" is a segregationist control freak. Oh, those poor vowels.

And don't get me started on "C," which is almost as bad.

I'm not fond of switch-hitting letters, either. You're either a consonant or a vowel, dang it! Why, oh why, "Y?" Make up your mind!

I'd better stop now, lest I begin threatening to kick some alpha-butt myself, lol.

Thanks for the very kind words, GGG . . . !

I too miss your enlightening words about our shattered economy. The system is broken and nobody wants to fix it. Certainly not the 'Democrats'y because they are driven by a quasi-NWO agenda. Not the RINOs either. Everybody in DC outwardly follows the CFR agenda. Which is tantamount to obeying secretive orders issued by Bilderbergers in Brussels.

It all reeks of traitorous conduct. The Nazis did not die. They only went underground where they allied with old school communists and 1960s radicals of the New Left.

Please drop by my freeper page and scroll down deep. There are some informative links . . .

“Why discuss anything with people who call you cretins, or ignorant, or bad christians who are leading people to hell?”

That’s just it, this is what liberals do...hypocrats always set up rules for everyone else to abide by, then have no intentions of following a single one themeselves...various atheists and pseudo-Christians regularly attack GGG telling him he’s turning people off to Christ, etc.

The facts are very different though.

If ANYONE is turned off to Christ by something GGG’s posted it’s for one of two reasons.

1. They weren’t ever going to be “turned on” to Christ by anyone, no matter what...(if someone is so thin skinned that they can’t tolerate God being mentioned in His own creation, then they’re simply not going to tolerate Jesus Christ!)

OR...

2. they’re just liberals doing their very best to undermine GGG/Christianity/conservatism.

GGG has on more than one occasion been attacked recklessly this way...and more than once explained that people have indeed contacted him and thanked him for helping them to come to Christ!

Normal people see right through this.

All kinds of dishonest nonsense takes place to denounce GGG, ID/creationism/conservatism/Christianity on here:

Good people are supposed to reject the Bible as just fairy tales and only the smart and good Christians/Catholics know this.

Forcing God out of His own creation, no mention of His hand in creating all we know in science class, etc. etc. etc. is what makes a Christian, smart or good, etc.

What still baffles me is all these lunatic liberals on FR that just don’t understand they stick out like giant sore thumbs on here with such assinine tripe!

And just look how they squeal when less than 10% of their own garbage is flung back at them!
