The suggested health insurance “reform” is just going to cost too much right out of the box, and there is NO mechanism for cost containment other than to pay medical personnel less for their services. A similar plan is in wait for pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply sources, with a great deal of the production moved overseas and beyond the reach of regulatory agencies like FDA.
This hs nothing to do with “racism”, either real or imagined. It has everything to do with access to medical services.
Soon, “medical tourists” may be leaving the US and going to some offshore location where they may get the necessary services at somewhat reasonable costs, because of the extraordinary wait times for similar medical procedures in this country.
Great Britain and Canada already have “medical tourists”, but for now, their destination is right here in the US.
Even Mexico has some degree of “medical tourism”, but a lot of that is driven by the absense of any number of adequate facilities within their own country.
This is the bunch that tittered and giggled when a man threw a shoe at President Bush. They loved it.

I would be interested in seeing if you, Maureen, would have any “racial angst” if your apartment building (or wherever you live in NYC) was converted into Sec. 8 housing.

The anniversary of 9-11 was two days away, yet Gibbs thinks if Joe WIlson was upset about anything, it was the anniversary of the Lehman collapse. It just proves he is the ass pimple.
1) George Bush wasn't lying when he was hawking the war in Iraq;
2) The Democrats SUPPORTED that effort. It wasn't until they realized that a successful war in Iraq would strengthen the Republican image as problem-solvers that they voiced any objections.
3) The Democrats and other liberals shouted much worse than "liar" at George Bush. And Dick Cheney. And Sarah Palin. And virtually any other conservative who dares take a principled stance against the tyrannical socialism that pervades this administration.
