I wonder how long it would take for the ACORN crowd to understand things when put this way: (I read an email like this the other day - so I'm putting this up in summary as I deleted it by accident)
Dear Employees:
As of yesterday, the Democrats in congress decided that our business will begin paying higher taxes in 30 days. Unfortunately, with the economy as poor as it is, we're not looking good.
I've already reduced our expenses as much as possible. I've taken a reduction in salary and so has management. We've cut our energy expenses, cut our costs, and done all we can to get more business coming in.
What really sucks is the extra 10% increase in taxes actually means your paychecks are less important than the taxes the government gets.
So look at it this way: 6 of you will lose your jobs next month - even though we looked like we'd make it through the storm. I'm sorry there's nothing I can do - I've exhausted every option.
The good news some of you made it easy for me. I've gone to the parking lot and given those 6 individuals with Obama bumper stickers a chance to make it work on Hope and Change...
Bob the boss.
Economic morons and thieves in DC. Between raising the minimum wage, expiring Bush tax cuts due, pending ObamaCare and now threatening to raise taxes even higher
many business owners will simply cut back, hire less or just go out of business. Sad to do it but if I was a business owner the first employees cut would be the Obama voters...no doubt. They wanted change and so give it to them!
thanks for the chuckle -
This is probably apocryphal, but if I were a business owner and was forced to let people go in these hard times I would actually do this...I would let known Obama supporters take the hit.
PING = LATER
Excellent.
Absolutely - I let my one zero supporter go and my cousin turned 1/2 dozen loose. We both told em why and told them we hoped all that hopey changey $#!+ worked out......red
