The 1pmET hour of Glenn Beck's 9/12 special drew 2.34M Total Viewers and 608K in A25-54 demo -- up a whopping 144% in Total Viewers and up 161% in demo viewers from the previous Saturday. The 2pmET hour built on the 1pm hour averaging 2.57M Total Viewers (up 189%) and 708K A25-54 viewers (up 226%).
Beck's two hours more than doubled the combined averages, in the demo and Total Viewers, of CNN (201K in demo, 678K Total) and MSNBC (125K in demo, 343K Total) from 1-3pmET Saturday.
CNN aired Pres. Obama's speech from Minneapolis from 2:00 to 2:40pmET. MSNBC aired the speech as well, then rounded out the 2pmET hour with Ed Schultz hosting, and guests debating healthcare reform. FNC stayed with Beck for the two hours with live coverage from the Tea Party Express rallies in Washington, DC and Ft. Worth, TX.

I’m so beaten by mainstream media that I read “Glenn Beck’s Saturday Rantings” :-/
Glenn has pledged his sacred honor. May others in his industry begin to do the same.
2 3/4 million viewers on a saturday, if I am reading that correctly, seems most impressive.
Not bad for Glenn going up against college football as well (of course the bigger games didn’t kickoff until 3:30).
and GOLF! Tiger was on. Did Glenn whoop Tiger in the ratings? I think it’s CBS on weekends. usually 2-5 central.
I would have been watching Golf but Glenn has me all fired up!!
Which explains to me why O'Reilly has all of the sudden become very negative on the various Beck initiatives: 912 Rally, Acorn etc. He's getting nervous about that long held #1 rating of his. It is indeed in jeopardy. If they moved Beck to Shep's spot just before BOR that would cinch it. Of course the lead-in to BOR would be a big plus for The BORing One. But Fox just might do it.
And he gets paid.
What might he say for MORE pay?

The only reason the ratings were that ‘low’ was because 1.2 million Beck watchers were busy —— Protesting!
Money cannot compensate for making oneself such a visable target. He does it for his country, so he is an honorable man.
How does that work when factoring "LOOK AT ME!" personalities?
He deserves all the money he gets. He earned every cent of it. He also said that the security he pays for him and his staff may bankrupt him one day. God Bless and watch over you, Glenn!
