The state's judges are paying tribute to the three-judge panel that decided the winner of Minnesota's disputed U.S. Senate election between Democrat Al Franken and Republican Norm Coleman.
The Minnesota District Judges Foundation has presented its Community Service Award to Judges Elizabeth Hayden of Stearns County, Kurt Marben of Pennington County and Denise Reilly of Hennepin County. It says they displayed "the highest levels of professionalism, public service, and judicial independence and integrity."
The three judges declared Franken the winner by 312 votes in April. The Minnesota Supreme Court affirmed the panel's decision in June. Coleman decided not to appeal further, clearing the way for Franken to take his seat in July.
The foundation presented the award last Thursday in St. Cloud.

State Supreme Court Justice G. Barry Anderson, has acknowledged that "very likely there was a double counting."
a Ramsey County precinct ended up with 177 more ballots than there were recorded votes on Election Night. In that case,
the board decided to go with the extra ballots, rather than the Election Night total, even though the county is now showing more ballots than voters in the precinct.
This gave Mr. Franken a net gain of 37 votes, which means he's benefited both ways from the board's inconsistency.
They had it pegged right then, when the Dem is ahead, stop counting.

On the July 1 edition of Fox & Friends...Kilmeade later said that Franken is “barely sane if you read his books, and quite angry in every facet of his life.”
I doubt that you use them as a bib.
Maybe a conservative honest organization can give them a “worst of” award at an annual ceremony.
Yep... had they found in favor of Norn Coleman there would be criminal investigations.
Haven’t we learned by now that anything these days with the phrase “community service” is suspicious? True community service only occurs on a voluntary basis, freely given by those with the resources to spare and an altruistic mind, seeking nothing in return.
How about an organization in support of Individuals?
“Helping entire communities, one individual at a time!”
The real award is figuring out how to use the court system to overthrow the will of the people.

This is the corruption that Glenn Beck so bravely speaks of.
Rodents stealing an election gets rewarded. Neat. Can we start doing that for the GOP ? Oh, no ? That’s right. We’d go to JAIL for that.
