It Is Time To Go To DEFCON 1. Bob Bennett Is About to Screw America.

Meet Bob Bennett. He is a Republican United States Senator. He is up for re-election next year.

Bob Bennett is about to screw America.

Bob Bennett is a fiscally irresponsible Senator who prides himself on being a Senator’s Senator. He was the only Republican who stood up and clapped when Barack Obama attacked Sarah Palin in his Joint Session of Congress speech last week.

And Bob Bennett wants to cut a deal on healthcare. Why? Because that’s what Senators do. The compromise. And if you are a Republican Senator, you capitulate.

Bob Bennett is working with Ron Wyden on Oregon on a healthcare alternative. They’ve proposed this plan for a while. The plan is terrible. As the Heritage Foundation correctly notes:

The Utah AG is running against Bennett in the primary. Bennett is polling weakly. There is hope that either he'll be defeated or at least scared straight for awhile by his polls. And the better news is that his Rat buddy in Health Care Central planning, Wyden, is one of two Senate Rats saying today they won't vote for the Baucus plan. As there is a deadline for Obama Rahming the nuclear option, anything that slows his steamroller is helpful.

Just what I was thinking. Maybe Bob Bennett was Matt Groening’s inspiration.

Yep. Wyden sold out his buddy Gordon in the general election because Gordon had an R after his name...of course, enough conservatives also refused to vote for Gordon and Merkley won with less than 50% of the vote. That bipartisanship thingee can really stink...Bennett would do well to remember that.

The Utah AG is challenging him, but he isn’t much better and don’t forget Bennett has a strong position in the state of Utah because of who he is... look at his family tree.

The former chair of the Ohio GOP was also named Bob Bennett and was also a major RINO.

Bennett has a strong position in the state of Utah because of who he is... look at his family tree.

I knew his father, Senator Wallace F. Bennett. The family fortune came from the Bennett Paint Co. I'd say he definitely has the right connections and pedigree for success in Utah politics. Here are the 1st two paragraphs from his Wiki bio:

"Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bennett is the son of Frances Marion Grant and the U.S. Senator Wallace Foster Bennett,[2] as well as the grandson of Heber J. Grant, the seventh president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bennett attended high school at East High, and he earned his B.S. from the University of Utah in 1957 majoring in Political Science. He also served as the Student Body President at the University of Utah.

"In 1962, Bennett married Joyce McKay, a granddaughter of David O. McKay, the ninth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."

Run him out. I will give money to whoever challenges him, wether it is a democrat or a republican. He must go. Whoever has this jackass as a senator, please keep us apprised of what is going on with him, when he is up for reelection, who is running against him etc.
