Democrats join GOP czar wars

In the war on the czars, Glenn Beck and the GOP are picking up reinforcements from an unlikely source: the Democratic Party.

The Fox News host and leading Republican lawmakers have been hammering President Barack Obama for weeks over a proliferation of policy “czars” — presidential appointees who don’t have to be confirmed by the Senate and aren’t easily held to account by Senate oversight committees.

Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin joined the anti-czar chorus Wednesday, asking Obama to detail the roles and responsibilities of all of the czars in his administration and to explain why he believes the use of czars is consistent with the Senate’s constitutional power to offer advice and consent on top-level executive branch officials.

“To the extent that this undercuts that role and people are put in the place of Cabinet people and really are the key authorities and you can’t question them, that’s something worth talking about,” Feingold said. “I think it’s a fair point.”

I think the attitude of the “reinforcements” has more to do with the beatings they took at the townhalls.

Something that most incoming Presidents and lay person don't understand about the Federal Government, and its this one commandment. "Thou shalt NOT F$(K with the Senate". Those good ole boys in the Senate dont like it when anyone, including Presidents, usurp their authority and influence. The Czars are a way to bypass Senate confirmation. And once the bloom had worn off Obama, it was only a short matter of time before the Senate started whining again.

I've always said to my friends and family, that if their is a corrupt institution in the US Government, its probably the Senate.

The Dems are clearly not ready to do some house cleaning. The montra “the previous administration did it first” is ridiculous. Who cares who did it first? Honestly, I think they are getting some of their arguments from a kindergarten handbook. Mr. Alinsky must be very diappointed!

No kidding. Funny he did not use the racism charge to try and end the debate.

Speaking of corruption. Kucinich made the comment that history will tell us that this is one of the most corrupt administration in our nations history. Heard on Bill Bennet this morning.

“Thank you for pressing the self-destruct button. The self-destruct button, cleverly shaped like an acorn, has been pressed. Upon pressing this button, you will first see swarms of hostile creatures gather in various locations. Then, you will see a very attractive and intelligent young female cleverly shut down half of your network by simply posing as a whore, something you are quite familiar with. Then, you will find your crewmates begin to turn on one another. Eventually, you will be nothing but a charred cinder on the ash heap of history.”

(ROFLmyassOFF!)

As the 2010 elections draw near, just WATCH how many so-called, newly conservative demonRATs have their OWN “me too!” moment.

Believe them at your peril.

Feingold is a leftist DemocRAT. He has been observing the bipartisan tea party and 9/12 opposition to Obama’s policies. He’s thinking ahead to the next election.

“Looks like someone’s been taking polls.”

Also, a safe bet would be that Focus groups have been selected like a political mix, pure demoRat, pure Republican and Independent. If run the correct way, the independents and old type democrats in the groups are probably really upset when shown these videos.

Add that to the huge march in DC on 12 September, and there has to be some self perserving pucker time going on with democrats up for re election.

You would think that a president who came from the Senate would realize that there are 100 president-wannabes over there just aching to seize power... well, now 99, anyway.
