Obama to set record with Sunday TV time
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | September 19, 2009

President Obama will appear on a record five TV networks on Sunday -- the morning talk shows of ABC, NBC, CBS and sit for interviews with CNN and Spanish-language network Univision.

Since becoming president, Obama will have done 124 print, broadcast and radio interviews, according to a tally by Maryland's Towson University -- three times more than George W. Bush did by the same point in his presidency.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says the interviews are "an attempt by the president to speak to as many different people as he can on an issue that's as important as something like health care reform or on Afghanistan."

There’s TV where I work also and unfortunately its usually on CNN which is either showing a story on him, carrying him live, talking about him, or having an Obama topic in the runner. Its virtually continuous coverage.

I think I'd complain about the hostile environment in which you must work due to the presence of the communist news network.

"an attempt by the president to speak to as many different people as he can"

Then he ought to go on Fox. They have a bigger market share than all the other networds combined.

“I have dealt with people like him in corporate life “

Thank you! I have been saying for MONTHS that many, many people, at all levels of work, have experienced working with or for an Obambi type. This type is full of hot air and takes up time blathering on and on when everyone in the room knows the individual doesn’t know #@$% about what they are bloviating about.

AND, everyone in that room KNOWS who in the room actually DOES know how to do the work and get things done. But everyone just keeps their mouth shut and lets the fool dig him/herself deeper.

The day they finally are let go, or wander off on their own (sometimes promoted!) everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

Maybe I am too hopeful, but I think it is possible that a few folks in so-called journalism have also experienced this and see the Big Zero for what he is, but they are too close to collecting retirement to rock the boat.

If you’re going to watch any of these Sunday appearances watch the one on Univision where he could get questions about illegal immigration and health care for illegals. The potential of him stepping into a landmine is there.

If most of these appearances run past 12pm the networks carrying him will lose much of their audience to the NFL.

That’s not too shabby. He’s up to over a speech every 2 days, including weekends.

In a 7 day week, he’d have a speech 4 out of 5 workdays. Amazing.

He might get a Dead Cat Bounce for a few days, then it's back to his usual -7 to -10 point approval averages.

I'm afraid what the stock market will do after this stunt. Every time he gets this much air time, the stocks drop. I don't think he'll even get a dead cat bounce. Overexposure is not a good thing.

There is a Tv in our cafeteria at work, and it is also on CNN. He was on the other day spouting about something and I gave him a one finger salute and muttered "******* Communist News Network sucking up to Hussein again".

Or My Mother the Car, anything, please!

How about My Mother the Czar?

As the President looks for someone new to help him with red jobs, he discovers that his late mother has taken up residence in a 1924 Stanley steam car.

Pretty soon, he spends more and more time in his newly restored vintage car supposedly listening to advice on running the country--but seemingly by himself. Hillary ensues.

My Mother the Czar, this fall on NBC between Stand Up, Chuck and The Biggest Loser!
