Fox Newsevangelist Glenn Beck might be the most prayed for man in America at the moment -- which could be good news for all of us.
A few weeks ago, Beck urged his conservative Christian followers to pray for his protection. "There is (billionaire George) Soros money now being funneled to stop me. The biggest names, the most powerful people on the planet on the left -- I've told you before, they're not going to go away easy . . . Please, keep me in your prayers, keep my staff in your prayers, for safety, for wisdom, please."
Meanwhile, over on the left, Jim Wallis is asking his fellow progressive Christians to pray for Beck. "It should be no surprise that we strongly disagree with many of Glenn's views, but we too believe in a God far greater than all of us. So on this point, let's take Glenn at his word and pray for him to have wisdom as he speaks out on these issues. Tell Glenn you're praying for him - that he'll choose hope over fear."
So maybe neither of those prayer requests are purely nonpartisan. But it does show that Red State Christians and Blue State Christians at least can pray for the same person, if not for the same reasons. That's progress, right? The culture war-weary among us appreciate any sign of progress among the faithful, especially after reading the new 2009 Religious Activists Survey, which shows just how deeply and fundamentally divided religious activists are in this country.
Here are just a few of the lowlights in the survey of 3,000 conservative and progressive religious activists.

It's fun to talk tough on the internet, but if you try that "goin' huntin'" jazz in real life they'll grease you in a parking garage and no one will ever know. You won't even make the news. And if you do, they'll kill you and say you were a white supremacist child molester.
So cool it with the macho posturing. It's embarrassing.
I would suggest GB consult with Oliver North in regards to appropriate security.
>>”I just hope that Beck has a real good security team.”<<
Howard Hughes had the best and they were ALL Mormons. He said they were the only ones he could trust. I suspect Glenn has employed the same.
Beck’s life is in danger 24/7. We all pray for him and his family.
>>”It was not posted to debate Mormonism. Lets not go there.”<<
Good point.
>>”Some nut on the left will attempt to assassinate Beck.”<<
Most likely a seed from the Oak tree.
I’m soooooo with you.
>>No, really, thats what theyre scared of.<<
Oh for Pete’s Sake. Did you ask him what century he was in?
No, when I ask for prayers I mean just that. I am asking Christian brothers and sisters to go before the Throne of the Most High God on my behalf, as I gladly do for them.
If I mean wish me luck, that is what I say.
Father God... help Glenn Beck. Help Your people
to stand up against those who are attempting to
destroy our nation. Route out the enemy. Expose
them with Your light. Protect those who are
risking all for the sake of Righteousness: Rush,
Levin, Beck, Hannity, Ingraham, Malkin, Coulter,
Breitbart, O’Keefe and Giles. Please Lord God, multiply
their effect a thousand fold! Please Father... make
them invisible to those plotting their destruction.
Cause a stirring among Your people to laugh and mock
and speak truth without fear - as Elijah did to the
prophets of Baal - when the enemy plots to deceive
and destroy. Shake the innocent and the blind so
they may see that they are in grave peril.
In Jesus name!!!
>>And if you do, they’ll kill you and say you were a white supremacist child molester. <<
Never quite thought of it that way.
Good point.
I don’t think they want to make a martyr
out of our heroes. Beck is pretty much
bullet proof now. What they will try to
do is catch him in a compromised situation
with a woman or drunk or something like
that. Of course it will be a setup... but
that is what they are asking their pagan
gods to deliver.
My opinion.
The answer is simple:
SODOM & GOMORAH.
He talks more like a Catholic in my estimation.
Either way, I’m sure he doesn’t mind out Catholic Prayers!
..but for me it's asking God, in Jesus name, to intercede for whomever I'm praying for.
And then I pray 'Thy will be done'.....
I have been praying for Glenn Beck, and for all those who are standing in the gap on the nation's behalf.
And we can’t pray for him because...????????
And your point is??????
Yes, learned at the knee of the honorable Rev. Wright.
>>And we cant pray for him because...????????
I’m sorry, I don’t understand your question.
(I’m on a Beck prayer ping, btw)
Ooops make that “Our Catholic Prayers”
