Garbage in/Garbage out: “The subjects were interviewed only once and the study tries to link their insurance status at that time to mortality a decade later. Yet over the period, the authors have no idea whether subjects were insured or uninsured, what kind of medical care they received, or even cause of death...”

Unfortunately, when most people hear that a study said this or that, they accept it on its face. We are a nation of people who don’t know how to evaluate research, and many people don’t understand that *scientists* can and do have agendas.

Just some more “exaggeration and misinformation” from Barry’s fringe weirdo friends.

So if these 9000 people died of a car accident, a murder or a plane crash they died because at some point in their lives they were with out health care insurance.

And this is the state of our premier Ivy League College’s research!

An interesting factoid is that hospitals and doctors accidentally kill 90,000 people each year.

They also start with a flawed premise. Barring some situation where it was taped over a sucking chest wound or something like that, I don’t know anyone whose life was saved simply because they had an insurance policy. Any life saving comes from the medical care enabled by having the means to purchase it. If the policy provides lousy care, it’s worthless.

The study does have one interesting set of figures where they correlated body mass index with mortality. They determined that average and plump are good, but those really skinny health freaks could be in big trouble.

Rush (a few years ago) pointed out that of the people who ate carrots in 1853, 100 percent are now dead, therefore eating carrots is fatal. The caller on the line at the time agreed with him. Bo Snerdly was in the control booth laughing so hard he could scarcely breathe.

This study is of the same validity.

If we had nationalized health care 450,000 would have died.

GIGO, the new definition - Gargage in/gospel Out if it comes from a computer. People don’t understand the premise, or the program, just believe the output.

146,000 people die every day.

Causes range from second-hand smoke to being mauled by polar bears fleeing melting ice sheets, but can be attributed to one underlying cause: Lack of government supervision.

If you don't demand new taxes on yourself, and more government at every level, you are complicit in nearly 150,000 deaths every day, and you are a right wing extremist who is one step away from being Tim McVeigh.

You are also probably a homophobic brute. And a racist.

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

You can multiply the number of deaths by the uninsured by at least a thousand, and that will give you the number of deaths on the part of people waiting for a doctor’s appointment under the Obama so-called “health” plan.

...a new study in the American Journal of Public Health claiming nearly 45,000 Americans die from a lack of health insurance.

Wow.
Anybody with an IQ above room temperature would have to laugh at this ridiculous claim.

It seems to me the only correlation made by this study would be: 40% of the people they polled from 1988 to 1994 died from taking another stupid poll.
