there are different programs. I use Anysoldier.com

People have different ideas of who they want to support and why. I tend to go with the people who haven’t gotten packages.

You can do a search for what people are requesting. I had one week where I had 10 boxes of Just for Men hair dye that I gotten for free. Didn’t know who to send it to..so sent it to a chaplain who had a store area where troops could come in a pick what they wanted..

Most of the stuff I send I have gotten for free or little cost. The big cost for me is the shipping! I have so many totes of free stuff that I have to actually rotate things that could expire!

Watch for 75% & 90% off candy after Halloween.

I Agree. Get them out of there. He is setting our soldiers up for a slaughter. My son just went into the Army and interestingly enough, most every new recruit is being sent to Germany for stationing.

I think Obama wants our military out of country for some reason.

6-8 weeks puts us into the oncoming winter there in Afghanistan when there is a historical slow down in the fighting due to the weather. At that point, he might be able to say no more troops are needed and McChrystal’s assessment is off/wrong/incorrect...just my thoughts because the man is an egomaniac.

“...just my thoughts because the man is an egomaniac.”

And he has proven by who he surrounds himself with and the philosophies on life they hold, that preserving it isn't at the top of his agenda. He might be the type to send a lamb to the slaughter if it would get him the outcome he desires. That is un-American, plain and simple.

Oh I think the decision makers understand it alright. I think they are doing it on purpose. Until we understand this country is under a full out Communist take over, we will lose a lot more rights and a lot more soldiers. That is not a comforting through for me as I have three sons in the Army.

Obama is sacrificing soldiers to his evil God. I've had it. The American Soldier sacrifices everything and then gets a traitor as CIC, courtesy of the American People.

What a thank you.

“Afghanistan, unlike Iraq, so the Dem line goes, is the right war”

free pacification of the soft Russian underbelly. Russia’s for it, so their surrogates in the US are for it.

We will not win in Afghanistan unless we supplant the opium farmer/Taliban alliance. The ICOS liberal peace think-tank in England has been proposing the only sane solution for many years: legalize opium growing, as is done in Turkey and India. The farmers make more money so it is an easy sell considering how mean the Taliban are. A pharmaceutical plant is built in Kabul and helps centralize the country.

Prices on morphine pain killers come down, limited availability is alleviated, third world people dying without pain killers might be able to get them.

Please pass this on to Obama, y’all.

I have my own quote to state:

“Don’t shoot at a Marine if you don’t want to get killed!”

A D.C. whodunit: Who leaked and why?
Ben Smith Ben Smith
Tue Sep 22, 5:51 am ET

Bob Woodward’s Monday-morning exclusive on a 66-page report from Gen. Stanley McChrystal to President Barack Obama about Afghanistan policy was a rite of passage for the new administration: the first major national security leak and a sure sign that the celebrated Washington Post reporter has penetrated yet another administration.

White House officials greeted the leak with a grimace, but none suggested they’d begin a witch hunt for the leaker. Woodward is famous for his access to the principals themselves — he recently traveled to Afghanistan with National Security Adviser James Jones — and leak hunters couldn’t expect with confidence that they’d find themselves disciplining just an undisciplined junior staffer.

But inside the White House and out, the leak touched off another familiar Washington ritual: speculation about the leaker’s identity and motives.

Excerpt. For the full story go to this link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090922/pl_politico/27414/print
