A physician grassroots movement to re-establish honor, dignity and worth to the medical profession. That its sole mission is to protect the relationship between the doctor and the patient...
The MillionMedMarch will follow in October to remind our elected officials that we intend to keep coming back to Washington and keep marching until the doctors and the patients are the focus of the healthcare reform.
We will be joined by the Docs4PatientCare group as well as others that will be coming from all across the US. Please join us on October 1 in DC and don't forget to sign the MillionMedMarch Petition. We look forward to seeing all of you in Washington.

2.1 million.
I live about 2 hours west of DC, and can carry six with me, which I will. We were part of the throng on the 12th! I hope they get a CROWD. COME ONE, COME ALL!
Hopefully people will go to support the docs and nurses. If this thing passes - doctors will be screwed.
I had a Dr appointment about a week ago for a re-check on my slowly mending broken ribs (yeah, what a year).
While I was at the office, I asked my Doc what his opinion was on the whole healthcare reform being shoved down our throats.
My dr. said that in the area we live in there are probably 50 to 60 doctors who are old enough and have the financial means to retire.
He continued to say that if the health care reform passes, most of those Doctors would wash their hands and retire.
He estimated that each of those doctors could have up to 1000 patients or more, even though they may not see that many very often.
If that were the case, and those Doctors retire, there would be up to or more than 60,000 people who would lose their Doctor.
My Doctor then continued to say that this would put undue pressure on primary care DRs like himself, and the chances for him to be sued would be greatly increased....meaning he wouldn’t have the time to make sure to send patients out to run every test whether they needed it or not to cover his butt if by some strange event something went wrong.
He said most of the Doctors in his group have been very concerned about how this will affect the way they run a business and have had frequent meetings about what they will do as far as accepting new patients if what he predicts comes to fruition.
Then he called Obama a communist, and sent me on my way, with another scrip of vicodin since I hace been coughing (coughing + broken ribs = crying like a baby).
I left with a new perspective on the thoughts of how this may be keeping Doctors up at night worrying about their future.
They have long days, some complex problems, office staff management issues, and have to deal with a lot of fruit loops at times. I really admire my Doctor and wish only the best for him and other practitioners.
Be safe, and watch out for ACORN workers selling flags of any kind!!
BTTT!
BTTT!
I hope this march wakes up more
Americans to how dangerous this Obamacare bill really is!!
Sorry to hear about your broken ribs! Prayers going up that they speed up in the healing dept!
Thanks for your prayers!
If this march of protest happens it may make more people tune into reality. It seems like no one is thinking beyond tomorrow.
“My dr. said that in the area we live in there are probably 50 to 60 doctors who are old enough and have the financial means to retire.”.....
And will even this be safe from future actions of this Congress?

So is the group pro-Hussein or anti-Hussein? :)
If this travesty of a health bill passes be prepared for mass exodus of US physicians and an influx of FMG’s (Foreign Medical Graduates). The same thing happened in the US military during the Carter years. If you are ill or injured be sure to brush up on your Spanish, Urdu, or Pashtun before you visit your new doktor!
Few people know that the AMA, like AARP, gets government contracts, which really is the money they area after, not membership fees. In case of the AMA, the AMA is a publishing company for the CPT Codes used by the government and insurance companies to describe services rendered to Medicare and Medicaid recipients and the rest of us. That contract alone is about $60 million for the AMA every year. That is a conservative estimate. The AMA no more represents the interests of docs than AARP represents the interests of seniors.
It’s just a couple blocks east of the Archives Metro station - I might zip over there at lunch and see how it looks.
Be very careful of Vicodin. We just started to have it in our narcotic cabinets. The trouble with Vicodin is it has a lot of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) in it. Our livers can only detoxify 4000 mg of it per day. Each Vicodin has 500 mg of Acetaminophen in it. So if you take 2 there is have your daily dose of acetaminophen.
There has been an increase in liver damage which is believed to be due to so many meds with Tylenol in it.
