Look up the story of the BATF informant LINDA HOWE —will turn your hair white. She was telling them step by step what they would do, and it STILL got blown up, just amazing.
Other:
1. Guy who delivered Chinese food to McVeigh’s room as he drove cross-country SAW a middle-eastern dude in there with him.
2. McVeigh repeatedly used a calling card to phone an Abu Sayef-controlled part of the southern Phillipines. Tim was also, errr, pretty friendly with the Phillipina wife of Nichols.
3. Lots of other stuff.

Do you remember who wrote the book about the bombing and tied it to Middle Eastern terrorists? It was written by a woman and I always meant to read it.

I think the best book on the whole deal was the one written by Charles Key.
I’ve read some conspiracy-theorists suggesting that McVeigh was a patsy/fall-guy and who suggested he was framed.

The above certainly does merit some questioning. How can information on a DOMESTIC bombing carried out years ago by a DOMESTIC terrorist, without FOREIGN involvement impact “National Security”?
If it is a still-exploitable security-defect, then people should be losing their jobs and going to jail, if not executed for treason.
The only thing, I can think of that would involve “National Security” would be if the missing information proved that the government incorrectly tried, convicted, & executed an innocent man or that the government was actually involved in the killing of the Citizens there. That is, if the Government did something that would cause a “loss of face” or, “undermine” the legitimacy of its authority; for it is this ‘authority’ which would become null & void should the government be killing its Citizens. (Are you beholden to a madman who WILL kill you or do you bodily harm? Surly not!)
Did muzzie loathing of the west erupt over night? No. Did it all surface the day before 9/11? Also no, in fact it festered for quite awhile. And indeed, 9/11-like events had been sometimes occuring, though they were denied.
Who here thinks TWA800 **spontaneously** blew up..? Oh..! And in Pakistan they had “glorious posters” of a 747 blowing up over Manhattan BEFORE 800 occured..!!

I was thinking the same thing. I thought Padilla looked exactly like the missing suspect. I think others on FR thought the same thing after the attack on 9/11.
There were witnesses that saw something hit TWA 800 when the first reports came out and then that was downplayed or ignored in the later reports.
Based on what is well-known about how the FBI mistreated the rest of the OKBOMB evidence, missing critical frames on all tapes is precisely what we should expect.

The man on the right in Commander Hussein al-Husseini, an Iraqi Republican Guard officer, and the man who drove the Ryder truch, filled with explosives, to the Murrah Building in Okalahoma City.
Timothy McVeigh was a passenger in the Ryder truck.
Nichols went to the Phillipines several time to receive bomb-making lessons from a member of Al-Qaida.

The owner of a motel tied McVeigh and Nichols to his motel at the very same time that Atta and Moussouri were there and they were seen together, BUT FBI was not interested.
Just like the number of people that saw a Middle Eastern man with McVeigh but FBI was not interested.
But then the same FBI said they found a suicide note three weeks later on the computer hard drive of the OU “lone suicide bomber” after the NPD blew up 18 loads of explosives that rattled my home and windows 5 miles away from the site. Same material that was taken from the suicide bomber’s car and apartment. But he wasn’t a terrorist.
My opinion of the FBI is not too great and frankly not surprised the tapes have been edited. In fact, I would have said that before I knew.

I have a lot of questions with no answers. Murrah Bombing was a cover up but then so was the OU ‘lone suicide bomber’ and would bet many other happenings.
FBI personnel were ordered by President Clinton, via memo, to deep-six/ignore all information pertaining to persons of middle-eastern background. The memos were also ordered destroyed on order of President Clinton. The only reason we know about this is because one agent resigned and kept the memo. He showed it to Jayna Davis.
The FBI's track record for lying about OKBOMB evidence remains intact.
According to FBI SAIC Danny Defenbaugh, when asked if the FBI covered the crater to hide what really happened, Defenbaugh replied:
"Investigators weren't trying to hide anything from the public, only tryng to protect the evidence that was water soluble."The Daily Oklahoman, 13 December, 1998.
On the morning of the bombing -- before it was covered -- the crater had already been flooded with dirty water, full of red Oklahoma mud -- with all sorts of debris floating on it!:

To support your comments, I remember from the trial that the FBI had interviewed several people that had spotted McVeigh downtown minutes before the explosion. Yet they were not called to testify. Seems one job of the prosecution would be to place the accused at the scene. It seems the reason they were not called, was because they placed a third man (the swarthy-looking man) with the two men.
I checked on Amazon and there are used copies of “The Final Report” by Charles Key. It is 45.99. Also a very good review of the book is listed there. I will have to check the library for a copy.
Al-Husseini didn’t just appear in Oklahoma City; he was later discovered working at the airport in Boston making up box lunches for the vendor who provided those (supposedly including box cutters) to jet liner hi-jacked by Mohammed Atta. Yes - he made up box lunches on 9/11/2001.
I don’t see that as coincidental, not at all.
As I recall, a witness got the license number of a brown pickup that was speeding from the Murrah building - the driver was identified as ME. Later, a rental car with that license number was stopped near Dallas - the ME men in the car were going to DFW. I think it’s very possible that those men arrived in the US at DFW, rented a car and drove to OKC where they switched the rental car plates to a pickup. After the bombing, they put the plates back on the rental car and bugged out for DFW and left the country.

If anyone has a decent photo of Carol Howe they should post it. Cute gal. Lucky (IMHO) to have survived the government's attempt to frame her for a crime they knew she did not commit. The reason?: She had advanced warning about the OKC bombing and was willing to testify to that fact. Unfortunately for Carol Howe, such testimony was not seen to be in the "national interest".
Relatively low-level government employees were being protected there.. the OKC bombing just may go all the way into an Oval Office or two. It is the cover-up I'm talking about.
I have wondered. I mean, If I had blown up a building full of men, women, and children, and got pulled over by a cop while driving with no license plates, with a 9mm loaded in reach, a highway patrollman just might end their career on the spot. What is one more? Drive away and ditch the vehicle.

The Clinton administration made political hay out of the idea that a "right winged radical" murdered over a hundred people, allegedly in retribution for Waco.
The Waco massacre was due to be investigated in congressional hearings, gunowners were gaining momentum fighting the assault weapons ban, and progress was being made in the Randy Weaver/Ruby Ridge case as well.
The shift in public sentiment that came with the attribution of the OK City bombing to what has become the cliche carriacture of 'right winged, Constitution quoting, radical gun nuts (who love Jesus)', took a lot of the wind out of the sails of the anti-Clinton, anti-DOJ under Janet Reno outcry, and did, in the public psyche, more than counterbalence the horrors which the government had committed in Texas, Idaho, and elsewhere.
With the WTC Bombing in '93, and other terrorist events which had been attributed to foreign (islamic) terrorists, and leaking information that the WTC Bombing may have been a blown sting operation (iirc, the on board informant showed them how to make the explosive), the Clintons had everything to gain by denying foreign involvement and blaming factions on the Right.
After you scratch your head wondering why they were even then guarding federal buildings, not to mention they are one of the largest federal security contractors even today, will wonder why on that day, and only that day in their contract history guarding that building (They had the contract), no guards showed for duty...none...no posts were filled that day
