I don’t understand, why is everyone on FR freaking about this particular H1N1 flu vaccine? Is this not the same vaccine that has already been tested?

I’m not saying that I’m for mandatory H1N1 shots for everyone, but I am concerned for my daughter.
The neurologist thinks she should get the vaccine. I’m waiting to hear about side effects.
Since epileptics are a high risk group, I’m hoping they have made sure this vaccine is safe for that group.
Well Thank God they are not threating parents that they will go to jail if they don’t get this for the child.
I've had it, my daughter had it and her daughter had it. We all got over it in 3 days, very mild. This flue has already been proved to be mild in the southern hemisphere, why are they touting it to be such a killer. The death rate is no worse than a normal flu.
I have had the flu that took 7 days to be over and I lost 15 lbs in the process(I was 26 years old at the time), this flu was nothing at all like that and I am 67 now.
Are there any other vaccinations that children are required to have before going to school in NJ, such as MMR, measles, chicken pox, etc.? When I was small, we were forced to have the smallpox vaccine before entering school. Homeschooling wasn’t an option back then, but my mother didn’t see any harm in it, so we all got them.
It looks like this flu is much worse than normal flu for people with neurological problems like epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
It has twice the death rate of the normal flu for people in that high risk group.

Well if its worse for the epileptic you should do what you need to do.
Actually, this vaccine lawsuit “immunity” for the pharma companies is a big deal and some of the stories that document this story back in July are starting to disappear from the web.

Hell, the UK newspapers were reporting a few weeks ago, that our own CDC had issues with it, because they were afraid of a repeat of the 1976 fiasco.
They can say what they want, but I don’t take flu shots anymore. Both times I’ve had one, I almost immediately got sick as a dog. The last time, our work gave them free, and both I and my manager had to go home, severely ill, within a couple of hours.
I'd vote for mandatory vaccination, and so would you.
I can never see a contingency where forcing people to be vaccinated was ever necessary.
If something as truly as bad as they would have us believe this flu is then people will be swarming in to have shots, therefore forcing them to have it would be unnecessary and more than a little stupid.
There probably wouldn't be enough vaccine to go around in that case and the government would probably have to put guards around any vaccination point to keep people out.
There is never good, valid reason to suspend liberties. The only reason to ever do so is to force the will of the government onto the people. Not a valid reason.
this is not an outbreak of polio....far from it.
it is a flu that most people will survive quite nicely thank you. it is control of people by government for the express purpose of controlling people by government.
What worried me was when my youngest son, who’s in the Marines, was about to be deployed to Afghanistan, and he had to get a slew of immunizations. He tells me that he got really sick a few days later, high fever, chills, and nausea. He has no idea what they pumped into him, but it scared me at the time. Thankfully, he got better.
I don’t know who these cultists really resemble.
In the case of the former soviet union, the system of serfdom really did keep the people poor, barefoot, illiterate, slaves to the government essentially. Now, the last couple of Tsars were liberal - they abolished serfdom, and gave help to the people - really cared about them. But, the people did have a legitimate beef against the system.
In Hitler’s case, the people either backed him or tacitly supported him because he DESTROYED those who would have perpetrated another October revolution on Germany, enslaving the people in communism. Of course they didn’t know that he would be every bit as bad and worse, in terms of causign a global conflagration, but they expected a conservative government from the nazis, and that’s what they got, plus much, much more.
I’m not at all sure what is motivating these fools today. They’re not poor, no one they’re acting out on behalf of is starving, they’re all fat. THIS is all about the simple notion that if somebody has more than me they need to gimme some. This is all about racism - that this race enslaved my race once, sos they need to gimme some. This is straight up racism, that’s all I can think. It’s also a tyranny of the minority.
NEVER, EVER let a good crisis (real or imagined), go to waste..
