Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., warned Americans that "Republicans want you to die quickly" during an after-hours House floor speech Tuesday night.
His remarks, which drew angry and immediate calls for an apology from Republicans, were highlighted by a sign reading "The Republican Health Care Plan: Die Quickly."
...
"It's fully appropriate that the gentleman return to the floor and apologize," said Rep. Marsha Blackburn, another Tennessee Republican.
But none was forthcoming from Grayson a freshman Democrat from a competitive district who said the first part of the GOP approach to health care is: Don't get sick.
"If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly," he said.

But first we want to kick you into the street and make you eat canned dog food. Then die.
Regarding this Alan Grayson, all I can say is may the Lord come quickly.
Right. “You lie” is decried (even though true on so many matters.)
But putting completely false words into our mouths, is just fine.
I’m so glad the dim bulbs aren’t hypocrites. </s>
denies him a spoon...just use your tongue, Alan.
I would have to think that saying the other party wants people to die would violate one of those pesky rules the Democrats were so concerned about last week.
let’s see if the Republicans in his district know how to respond. He should be an easy target next year.
This is a district that should be voting Republican. . Bush won it by over 10 points twice
I originally was worried that the “Death Panels” comment was a bit too much. But I completely changed my mind. More and more rats have gone down this “Rs want you to die” path which they would have done anyway, so its good Rs beat them to the punch. It is killing them.
Where's his pitchfork?
Another dumbass politician says something stupid and insane. There’s a lot of that going around these days. The commies are getting REALLY desperate.
More like a "coward". He said it on the House floor and is immune from prosecution.
Registered Republicans 'could' bring a defamation suit otherwise. (yeah, it would go nowhere)
They know all too well. This guy ran as a conservative Dem when the party was staying away. His days are short as he was one of those asshats that held a town hall in a union hall right after a union meeting. Then it got really ugly with some of his comments to peoples questions.
This guy gets bounced in ‘10.
The boy doesn’t look very bright. I’ll bet he used do be a professional wrestler or worked as a “carnie.”
El Diablo.
Don’t forget making them dig their own grave before dying :)
