All we're getting is whispers from the press, of course, A raised eyebrow here, a sad shake of the head there. But the picture that is emerging of Barack Obama, the executive, is not very flattering if you look between the lines.

Obama is not a serious person. The studied frowns, the somber tone—it’s all fake. He’s a good-time Charlie who is using his handlers, just as they are using him. Ayers and Daley glommed onto him to be the figurehead for their agenda, and he gladly seized the opportunity. But, like Clinton, he’s mostly in it for the perks and the good times.

A bare desktop is not telling. Some people have messy desks (me, for instance); others like keeping desktop clutter to a minimum. Obama has numerous, serious flaws — a clear desktop isn't one of them. This is a distraction, at best.
