I know that things are pretty dismal and utterly screwed up in California right now, but I have faith that the American people who live there will find their inner patriot at some point, and come out swinging against the commies that have ruined their state.

I pray that your faith is not misplaced. The numbers that you mentioned upthread indicate that patriotic Californians have a Herculean task before them - and to even begin to turn the corner and commence mucking-out the Augean Stables would likely require some horrific event, like a major terrorist attack somewhere on the west coast.

All in all, not a pretty picture.

Agreed.

The conditions there aren't much different than the snapshot picture of the entire US situation, just on a smaller scale.

What California needs is its own resistance movement, with fierce patriots rising through the ranks to motivate the larger majority of its citizens.

I'm sure that there are many good Americans in California who are thinking and planning along just such lines right now. Yes, they do have a herculean task before them, but with the right appeals, from the right leadership, they can beat back the forces which are destroying their state.

At some point, the pain of liberal mishandling will become so great, that people there won't have anything left to lose. They'll fight back then, and it won't be with kid gloves.

Not unlike what is poised to occur across the whole US.

Don't blame just New York.

The Mayor of Albuquerwue and most other cities are just as bad.

“There are no plans for public release of the document, which is being distributed to key members of Obama’s administration and agencies affected by the recommendations.”

hmmmm . . . more transparent business as usual . . .

And federal prosecutors should more aggressively prosecute people who fail the background check, the study says. In 2005, the FBI referred 67,713 cases to the ATF, but federal prosecutors pursued only 135 of those cases.

This might not be such a bad thing for those being unjustly denied their rights. This could come back to haunt the gun-grabbers since SCOTUS said it was an individual right and the feds are denying it.
