She did it once — why not again? I think she might — powerful team, yes? Let’s not kid ourselves, Hillary would’ve happily accepted the post as well. And Palin’s much younger............. more time to hone the skills

During WWI, General MacArthur was not satisfied with the artillery support provided in one attack. He returned to the artillery battery where a half trained officer, a Captain, commanded (normally a Lt Col position) and MacArthur gave the young captain a good chewing out.

The young captain was Harry S Truman.

My understanding is that McChrystal’s speech got Pentagon approval and was keeping with Administration policy, until Obama changed his mind (indecisive is a compliment for Barak).
