Supposedly there will be a decision in weeks on the troop surge request by Obama. Will he be meeting with and consulting with and seeking the advice and input of McChrystal within those weeks? Or is he too busy ramrodding his bull domestic socialistic reform?

“Why do modern day Democrat Presidents make lousy Commander in Chiefs?...”
Because they are commanding those that believe in: “Duty, Honor and Country”. Things that they hate and/or cannot fathom. It is hard to command those that march to the beat of a different drum.

Bruce Ackerman, an expert on constitutional law at Yale University, said in the Washington Post: As commanding general, McChrystal has no business making such public pronouncements. That's ok, Brucie.... Obama has no business being CIC without showing valid ID. A man who respects nobody gets respect from nobody. Obama is a fraud and America is a village full of idiots for electing this fashion statement.

FURIOUS. They do not employ words such as angered, miffed, snubbed, indignant, upset, or critical. The word chosen carefully, after the paper’s lawyers gave the go-ahead, was furious.
They are furious of the general telling the NATO leaders, whom the President stated was now in charge of Afghanistan, that they need help or face loss.
My god the administration in the White House doesn’t give a sh!t about 9-11, about future security against the growth of AQ and Taliban in lawless portions of the world, or even the US existing as a powerful force in preventing the world against a world with Korean and Iranian nukes.

Their press reports things the American press won’t report on for fear of making Obama look bad.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn’t think much of Truman’s big government liberalism, but he was a decent wartime president (conclusion of WWII and Korea) and a war hero (WWI). At least when he fired McArthur, he had some standing to do so...

I am aware that there is a Petraeus for President group out there — need to read up on that —
Some people thought, eons ago, that Colin Powell would be a good President — of course that was ridiculous. But Petraeus — hmmm — really something to consider. Petraeus/Palin indeed!!! Powerful!

If Obama doesnt want truth from his Generals, what does he want?

Truth is a dirty little five letter word for the bammy crew. It causes them SO many problems. They much prefer the four letter word
