Karma! Obama Snubs The Dalai Lama
http://www.radioviceonline.com ^ | October 5, 2009 | Jim Vicevich

President Obama would have the time to meet with the worse dictators, but he does not have the time to meet with a very spiritual man and a true person of peace?

Is it because he doesn’t look like him, or has a funny name, or maybe because he doesn’t quite fit into the young President’s circle of brutal dictators and tyrants? My guess is … it’s the latter.

More like, “He has nothing to offer than can advance ME, so, no time to talk to him.”

By the way, Sarah, please DON’T go on Oompah Oprah’s show.

Didn’t the Dalai Lama come out in support of Bush?

In regards to Sarah Palin going on Oprah’s show, I think she should. Its a good venue for getting her message across.

I won’t dispute your take on it.

But I say Eff Oprah and the two Clydesdales she rode in on.

I wouldn’t giver her the satisfaction and the recognition since she deliberately refused to allow Sarah on during the election.

The Dali Lama would likely see the Demon infesting Obama, and Obama can’t possibly handle that. The shell is too weak to take it.

Just guessin.

Yes, he did..in a way. When DL called Dubya “a good friend”, that pissed off a lot of the libtards who believe in the DL’s philosophy but the DL is a closet conservative.
The most telling was the Seattle interview when he was asked if it was “acceptable” to shoot an assailant and not only did DL say “yes” but elaborated on it as well.

Although I abhor Obama kissing China’s ring, the Dalai Lama is a cult leader who doesn’t really deserve all the hoopla.

THE BUDDHA ON ABORTION

The Buddha Himself spoke directly of abortion is His discourse called the Dharani Sutra. He said:

“There are five kinds of Evil Karma which are difficult to extinguish, even if one were to repent of them. What are the five kinds of offences? The first one is killing the father, the second one is killing the mother, the third one is abortion, the fourth one is to injure The Buddha, the fifth one is to create disharmony among the Sangha assemblies [i.e. create division and schism]. These five types of evil and sinful karma are difficult to extinguish.” (The Dharani Sutra of the Buddha on Longevity, The Extinction of Offences, And the Protection of Young Children, p.2 online)

The Dalai Lama was interviewed by CBC News at the time of his visit to Canada during 2007-NOV. Near the end of his interview he was asked whether Buddhism condones love between two men or two women. He replied that Buddhists reject this. Genuine Buddhist practitioners, like Christians, condemn same-sex behavior as sexual misconduct. “So, [it is] not permissible, not allowed.” 11

BUMP to the top of the page.

I hear-by challenge EVERY FREEPER who has not made a donation to Free Republic to make a donation of just $10 and see what happens to the Freep-A-Thon!

I would think that every Freeper could donate at least $10 to help keep FR up and running! :)
