Oh, dear! I hope you feel better soon. I can certainly verify that your children strong and healthy!
Since the elite congress is in charge of the nation they should lead by example and get the dam shot first!
Then I will decide. Not until.
Flu came to my home yesterday. Doc appointment this afternoon.
If you know you have the flu, why would you waste your time going to the doctor? So he can say, yeah, you have the flu. Go home, rest, drink liquids and you’ll be better in a week. That’ll be $200 please?Oh, and don’t forget the other hundred dollars at the drug store for useless cough syrup and toxic tamiflu that will MAYBE cut 1-2 days off the symptoms IF you start it in time! If he’s a really useless doctor, he’ll give you an antibiotic for a virus as well- just in case- so you think your trip was worth the while. Unless you are experiencing symptoms that require immediate medical care (breathing distress/dehydration, etc..) going to a doctor is a waste of time, money and only prolongs and spreads the disease.
Too late, already went to the doctor, as I said before, I don’t know why, I’ve never taken the kids to the doctor for the flu.
I guess so we could tell everyone we have swine flu and watch them gasp and I did want the asthmatic one checked.
We have private insurance so the visit was only $20. He told us not to listen to the media hype and he thought tamiflu wasn’t worth it but he would prescribe it if we wanted him to.
Out of curiosity, have you ever had a flu shot while pregnant, or have you ever gotten the flu while pregnant?
My Doc said the same thing. He did not think Tamiflu makes more than a 24 hour difference.
1 in 1,000,000 got it in 1976... Much higher chance of getting it from the flu itself.
Then your "doc" will have a serious lawsuit on his hands the first time one of his patients denied the vaccine dies from the swine flu... a death that could have been prevented.
I’m conflicted. I contacted a wicked flu last year that almost killed me. Nothing helped me. The antibiotic choices were running dry. I am young and healthy. The flu ran its course prior to “swine flu” being reported as the culprit. However, I was infected in the high risk areas of the US and brought it back to my state.
Do I get my first shot to prevent a worse version of this type of flu? Or am I immune to the virus since I survived last year’s hell?
And if I and over 50,000 others die because of this virus, what will you say then?
Personally, I would not take the H1N1 under any circumstances -- especially if I were pregnant. Has the vaccine been proven to be effective? Has it been proven to be safe? More importantly, has it been tested on pregnant women EVER? Have there been any studies on the short term and long term effects on newborns?
Of course you want to do everything you can to keep you and your baby healthy and safe. But is an untested and unproven vaccine the answer? Or, can you achieve the results you want without the risks? IMHO, I believe this can absolutely be accomplished by utilizing natural, non-toxic substances that have shown to be very effective at preventing the flu such as D3, Vitamin C, etc.
There are a lot of knowledgeable freepers who would help you in this arena. (Research wise). Perhaps you can find a DO in your area that will guide and help you with the appropriate natural vitamins for pregnant women in order to prevent the flu naturally.
All of the best to you and your baby!!
Vaccine May Be More Dangerous Than Swine Flu
Television, where else?
Are you over it yet?
What’s the difference between bird flu and swine flu?

With bird flu you get tweetment. With swine flu you get oinkment.
yuk yuk
Thank you. If I do decide to get the vaccine, I would definitely go with a thimerosal-free option. That eases my mind, at least some. Many thanks.
In March of 2008 I went to my doc's office and took the pneumonia vaccine shot. I am glad that I did because if I had to undergo another bout of pneumonia like I had February 2008, I doubt very much I would be typing right now. I don't think Heaven has an I.P. yet.
No, neither one. I don’t think I’ve had a flu shot since I was in college, and haven’t had the flu, either. I had a stomach bug during one of my pregnancies (Pat?) and had to get anti-emetic suppositories because I was getting dehydrated.
My husband always gets a flu shot, since he has much more contact with the public than the rest of us put together. Kids usually don’t go to Sunday School or gymnastics if they’re sick, but adults go to work with the germs!
I think I’ve had the swine flu for the past four days. Felt tired, feverish and bit of a stomach upset plus some congestion. I found out the swine flu is running through our high school and I really think I caught it. IF SO...WHAT IS THE HYPE ALL ABOUT!
We've seen photos of thousands of young children getting this vaccine. They can't ALL be high risks.
I'm surprised Gibbs admitted this. I bet the WH is furious he leaked the truth.

Obama first-daughters not vaccinated against H1N1, per Robert Gibbs.
