BALTIMORE (SWS) - In a stunning decision, the National Football League has awarded the 2009 AFL Championship, NFL Season Championship and the Vince Lombardi trophy to the 0-4 Cleveland Browns (AFC North) in an apparent reaction to a comment made by former Browns franchise owner Art Modell that the team was "overdue" for a winning season, and that he "hoped that the Browns would do better" this year.
Baltimore Ravens fans were immediately outraged that Modell betrayed them by inadvertently helping the Browns over the 3-1 Ravens, which Modell founded after moving the Browns franchise out of Cleveland in 1995.
Modell, long the target of bitter comment at websites such as "Modell Death Watch" had no comment following the NFL's controversial announcement this morning.
*SCHNPP*
How about 2010 in St. Louis????
How about 2010 in St. Louis????
What?! You mean it wasn’t awarded to Obama?
[Hands on hips] “Ah’d be so upset if he ain’t.”
Hee hee, I’ll have to tell my husband about this website. He is from Cleveland and as with most of the city, he will never forgive Art Modell. Even if he could supernaturally give the Super Bowl Championship to the Browns, it would do him no good.
All I can say is that it’s a good thing that the Football Hall of Fame is in a northern state, because it will be a very cold day if and when Modell makes it in and since Canton is in Ohio, I would expect many instances of vandalism against any exhibit dedicated to him.
Ravens mention ping!
This is clearly flake!
If it was real, and followed the path blazed by our esteemed Obamassiah, it would have happened after the 3rd quarter of the season opener. Waiting for 4 games is entirely too late to take such action!
