When asked to comment, Cornelius Cockerel (official Kelloggs Corn Flakes mascot and cousin to Foghorn Leghorn) stated:

My mom uses them for her apple tart:

Put the flakes in a big baggie.

Squish them with a rolling pin.

Cover the bottom crust.

Add the apples.

Put on top crust and bake.

Most delicious thing I've ever had.

If you want the recipe I'll have her send it to me. She makes it on a round pizza tin and I'm about to cry b/c I haven't had it since I moved to FL 10 years ago and now I am so craving it. She drizzles the top with that confectionary sugar and milk delightfulness.

Maybe I'll have her mail me one. :(
