Russia in a new review of its policy on use of nuclear weapons will reserve the right to undertake a pre-emptive strike if it feels its security is endangered

gee--so soon after we handed them our missile defense as a good will gesture...thanks Obama. I'm sure the timing is a coincidence.

“Russia in a new review of its policy on use of nuclear weapons will reserve the right to undertake a pre-emptive strike if it feels its security is endangered, a senior Kremlin official told a Russian newspaper.”

Hey! Here’s the bright side of this...if we get rid of all our nuclear weapons, they won’t ever have to use one against us in a first strike...we will always have to surrender...:)

Obama: “Well I can’t see a problem with that. By the way, when’re you guys gonna come inspect our missile system?”

Barry’s idea of a world without nukes seems to be hitting a few snags. Imagine that.

Hasn’t that been an item that America has refused to strike from the table too... except, possibly, for the Bummer?

This is mere chest thumping by the bear, as today’s nuclear security architectures render it impossible to pre-empt MAD.

ND, this is non news. The US still reserves the the right to a pre-emptive nuclear strike. The USSR back in the 80s called for a mutual non pre-emptive nuclear strike policy but the US never took the bait because if they did the USSR could have rolled through Europe. So this is like “Russia reserves the right to speak russian” kinda story.

Meanwhile, Hillary has invited the Ruskies to visit all of our nuclear missile sites because we can “trust” them.

In the Soviet days, I thought it was understood that any treaties or "no first use" doctrines adopted by them were hardly worth the paper that they were printed on. That's why we had 10,000 or so assorted warheads aimed their way. Now that the United States is officialy introspective and pacifist, they feel free to make their nuclear intentions known. Israel is probably the intended audience of this news. "We" will probably double down on our efforts to disarm, just so the Russians dont want to bite us. Gotta earn that Nobel surprise, you see.

“will reserve the right to undertake a pre-emptive strike if it feels its security is endangered,”

This seems like a sane policy to me. Flip it to see if it’s absurd:

“Russia says it will wait until seriously attacked before considering national defense including use of nukes”.

There are some at this site that will dislike me for repeating what I and others pleaded for all to consider well before the election. McPain in many's eyes and for good reasons was and is a jerk weed, RINO on various planes of the RINO level if one would like, or even worse in some cases.
But some thought it would be better for the communist with a garbled and disturbed mind to be elected to teach us all a lesson, so that we could somehow over a few years rejuvenate the Republican party by some quick fixes or something.
Now for those in that category, you may start seeing why some of us attempted to convince you we could over time vote out bad Republicans and reform the party without letting the Pandora Box be opened.
Now we shall pay the price. The goon that resides in the WH will set us back further in so many areas then most would wish to consider.
One is foolish to fool around with sticks of dynamite with the blasting caps attached to the wires leading to the switch box connected to the battery pack.
Especially if one is riding in some damn fool busted up pick up on a rather bumpy road.

I forgive you all. Your hearts where in the right place in hopes America at large would wake up and see what a goon was elected, and not only him but the whole cadre that would trail behind his flowing robes, and of course the socialist clowns on the Hill etc..
Many here, are on the same side on a macro level, and often in many cases on micro levels of discernment over very important issues that effect our Republic, and for that matter most of the Western Democracy at large.
But we blew it on this one. The one, (zero) is most likely around for another three years.
Can some of you imagine the fun the Russkie and Chinese are going to have in the years to come. Hildabeast as SoS, perhaps a change of guard for the worst at the DoD, it could happen, the jerks that now are in charge of our Treasury Department etc..
The creek is wide. the winds blow upstream. We lost our paddles for all practical purposes, and the creek has turned into *hit water.
I have been holding this in since the election. I can no longer hold it in.
Forgive me if I offend. It is not intended to.

No doubt we will soon hear Hillary/Obama say:

The USA will no longer reserve the right to do a pre-emptive Nuclear strike - paving the way for the Russians, our nuclear friends, to do the same - one day.

And for this hopeful statement, we want to win next year’s Nobel Peace Prize!
