People wrongly assume that we live in a democracy, but we live in a representative democracy. Once we elect our representative, they are free to destroy us, punishable only by being thrown out of office after the fact.
They do not need to listen to us if they think their goals are more important than what the people want.
What would have to occur before the public became violent, on either side? What right will be the last straw when taken away.
Who will be the leaders to lead from the front?
Certain groups in our society don’t need much at all to get themselves riled up to riot. Other groups seem to be allergic to the concept.
My thoughts too. however, to discuss this further would have to be taken off line.
It surely will not be our God given right as supported and expressed in the second amendment. They don't have the will or the numbers...yet.
It will more likely be our right to worship and speak as affirmed in the first. The free exchange of ideas on the internet is high on their list.
“Do we really understand the tipping point to start the American Revolution against England? What were those circumstances and how similar are they likely to be in the near future?”
The American Revolution against England was based on far less than what we are suffering now. At the time of the Revolution the people of the colonies were far more free than we are today.

Does anyone know if it is possible for some states to refuse to abide by this monstrosity if it actually becomes law? Sadly, I no longer believe this country can survive with roughly 50 percent of the country wanting to live under a socialist system and the other 50 who do not, or will not. Maybe, it’s time to split off from the leftists and become a nation within a nation that wishes to live under freedom and capitalism. Let the scum on the left have their socialist utopia and see which system thrives while the other becomes a cesspool. I keep reading about another revolution. What does that mean? Obviously, we aren’t going to pick up muskets and storm the Capital. Civil disobedience? Anyone here able or willing to be sent to jail or reeducation camp away from family and job to resist this, to what end? If we can’t or won’t vote these bastards out, really, what else could be done?
