Anita Dunn Speech At HS Graduation Praising Chairman Mao - Location of Speech and School ID'd

When I watched this video today on Glenn Beck's show, I was most disgusted to see that she was praising Mao from what appeared to be a pulpit of a church; and I wanted to find out where this event took place.

So, after I cleared away supper debris and got the kids in bed, I spent my evening Googling; and I found what I was looking for.

Ms. Anita Dunn was the commencement speaker for the 2009 St. Andrews Episcopal School (Potomac, MD) graduating class. From that link, it appears that Ms. Dunn has a child who attends the exclusive school.

The graduation ceremony was held June 5, 2009, at the Washington National Cathedral. Both links identify the date and location; the first link shows Ms. Dunn was the commencement speaker.

Praising a communist murderer of his own people at Washington National Cathedral. To a bunch of high school kids. From an Obama Administration insider. Lovely.

This story about Dunn's feelings for Mao may (or may not) become a liability; so I have saved the webpages to my computer, in case they disappear over the coming days.

Will Dunn fit under Obama's bus?

FYI: St Andrews Episcopal School is an exclusive Pre-K to Grade 12 school located in Potomac, MD.

Tuition ranges from $5,750/school year for two-day Pre-K classes, $19,190 for K - Grade 3, $29,975 for Grades 6 - 8, to $31,130 for Grades 9 - 12.

Sounds like a great place to send a kid, if you have the money.

Are you joking?

Sounds like the best left-wing indoctrination an unsuspecting conservative parent can buy!

"Will Dunn fit under Obama's bus?"

I believe she has a first class seat next to Obama.

Sorry about that; I was being very sarcastic and forgot to make note of that in my comment.

Actually praising Mao, is equivalent to the phony charge laid against Rush, that he had praised slavery. Same difference.

There is a marvelous book about Mao Tse Tung’s reign of terror. It is told by Chinese women of three generations in the same family. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read and it’s chilling.

“Wild Swans” by Jung Chang, a book you’ll never forget.

Not really. Rush never made the slavery comment. Dunn, however, did say that Mao was one of her favorite philosophers.

For her to say he is a favorite philosopher is praise; certainly not condemnation.

At least it wasn’t a Catholic School or the Catholic-bashers would have taken over this post like white on rice!

"Dunn, however, did say that Mao was one of her favorite philosophers."

Mao was a murdering despot. Birds of a feather flock together.

I saw the cross behind Anita Dunn and was appalled that she was spewing her garbage in a sanctuary. Thanks for the research!

Note the word *phony*. What Mao did to the Chinese people, was akin to slavery.

Why does so much weird sh*t happen at the NATIONAL CATHEDRAL? Because it is in DC?

I read about how the female, ah-hem, Bishop, there once had a series of talks conducted at the Cathedral on the goodness of paganism, abortion, etc... I’m sure it happens all the time.

Seriously - does anyone know when/how the coup at the NATIONAL CATHEDRAL happened?

Excellent work. I was wondering where that was ... the cross on her side as she was speaking really upset me. Then she threw in Mother Theresa. Appalling.

Potomac, MD is in glorious Montgomery County. You won’t find a lot of conservatives out there any more. Mostly limo libs. None of these parents should be surprised to have this type address at their kids commencement but obviously at least ONE was or Glenn Beck would never have seen that video.

Oops, my bad. I'm sorry, I misunderstood your comment.

It's way past my bedtime, and my reading comprehension is slipping.

OH, and this just gets better. I followed your link to the school’s website and it referred to her as mother of Stephen Bauer. Welllllll, Bauer struck a chord. He is the private attorney for Obama, representing him in the ‘birther’ suits. He is one nasty piece of work.

Here’s Wiki on the relationship:
Personal life
She is married to the President’s personal lawyer, Robert Bauer, a partner at Perkins Coie who has been the general counsel of Obama for America since January 2007. They reside in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Newsweek named Dunn and Bauer the new “power couple” in Washington, D.C. in 2008.[6]
